There are several obvious similarities in the history of newspapers in developing countries:
(1) Early newspapers and periodicals, especially those in countries with earlier newspaper origins, were mostly founded by colonists. Only then did the local people set up newspapers, and the modern newspaper industry in China was born.
(2) With the development of the anti-colonial and anti-feudal struggle, the national democratic newspapers and periodicals here have gradually developed. The struggle against colonialism and feudalism was the soil for the growth of national democratic newspapers, which promoted the development of this revolutionary movement.
(3) The victory of the national liberation movement has opened up a new world for the development of newspapers in these countries. After independence, countries eliminated the influence of colonial rule and developed national newspapers. The structure of the newspaper industry has undergone fundamental changes, and the scale of the newspaper industry has greatly expanded.
