Extended data:
The historical evolution of Shanggu County;
After Qin Shihuang unified the six countries, the world was divided into 36 counties, including Shanggu County. There is a county magistrate, also known as the county general, who was originally a military attache and gradually became a local governor. In the second year of Emperor Jing of Han Dynasty (148 BC), it was renamed Taishou. Under the satrap, there are Chengjun and Junwei, who are in charge of civil and military affairs respectively. Li Guang, a flying general in the Han Dynasty, was a county magistrate in Shanggu.
During the Qin and Han Dynasties, there were sixteen counties in Shanggu County (fifteen after the Han Dynasty abandoned Doubi County). During the Three Kingdoms period, during the Cao Wei period, the county magistrate moved to Juyong country, and the ancient city was still under the jurisdiction of Juyang County. In the Western Jin Dynasty, Shanggu County ruled and moved back to Ju Yang.
During the post-Zhao, pre-Yan, pre-Qin and post-Yan periods, the territory of Shanggu County was changed several times, but the county remained in use. During the Northern and Southern Dynasties, Shanggu County was changed to Pingyuan County in the Northern Wei Dynasty, and it was still under the jurisdiction of Ju Yang County. After the Northern Wei Dynasty, Shanggu County and Ju Yang County disappeared from the records.
According to historical records:
At the end of the Northern Wei Dynasty, especially in the sixth year of Zheng Guang (525), a large-scale border uprising broke out in six northern towns. Du Luozhou, a native of Rouxuan Town, launched a peasant uprising in Shanggu County, conquered Yanzhou (now Zhuolu) with the title of "True King", and went all the way south, successively occupying Zhuozhou and Dingzhou.
Shanggu county is likely to be destroyed by the war of peasant uprising and thus abandoned. According to this calculation, Shanggu County was established in Yan Zhaowang during the Warring States Period and abandoned after the Northern Wei Dynasty, which lasted 808 years after seven historical periods and 10 feudal dynasties.
Shanggu County has been abandoned for nearly 1480 years, and the city site has been incomplete due to war trauma, years of abrasion, river diversion and erosion. However, according to the preserved results of broken walls and cultural relics and archaeology, we can still imagine the glory of Shanggu County.
