Content introduction:
Eighteen History was written by Zeng Xian at the end of Song Dynasty and the beginning of Yuan Dynasty. This is a beginner's enlightenment book that concisely narrates the history of China. In the Ming Dynasty, it spread to Japan, which had a long-term and special influence.
Chen's A Brief History of Novels fictionalized the history from ancient times to the death of the Song Dynasty. Although it is not directly related to Zeng's previous works, it has the same effect in introducing history to the public in a concise and popular way.
This work was first serialized in a weekly magazine and published in 1977. The sales of six volumes all exceeded one million in a short time. Later, it was revised into twelve volumes and reprinted again and again. Until 2006, the new edition was published and became a best-selling Japanese China history book.
The 18th History of Chen: The Age of Civil Servants is the fifth and last book in the 18th History of Chen. Tell the history from the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms to the demise of the Southern Song Dynasty. The main line of Wenzhi Times is the political struggle within the Song Dynasty and the conflicts and exchanges with Liao, Jin, Xixia and Mongolia. What influence did Song Taizu's "Wen Zhi Doctrine" have on the national policy of freedom of speech pursued by scholar-officials? What is the content of Wang Anshi's political reform, and what are the reasons for his failure after being opposed? What is Song Gaozong's impression of the hawks represented by Li Gang and the pacifists represented by Zhang Bangchang? Why did Qin Gui build Yuefei with the support of Emperor Gaozong and court officials? What made Genghis Khan a conqueror on the grassland? Many of the author's original opinions were published in Wenzhi Times.
