On Houyi Times
There are two people named Hou Yi in China.

One is Hou Yi, a semi-historical and semi-mythical figure who lived in the Tang Yao era, that is, about five or six thousand years ago (myths and legends have historical shadows, so don't think that the characters in ancient myths are fictional, and many of them are actually based on history);

The other is the usurper of the Xia Dynasty (the king called it "Hou" at that time, the Xia King called it "Hou", and Hou Yi's "Hou" also meant this), and he was the descendant of a poor leader who shot at Japan. During the reign of Xia Hou Taikang, he rose and controlled the actual sovereignty of Xia Dynasty. Originally known as "Taikang lost his country", he usurped the throne and was finally killed by Han Zhuo. This Houyi seems to be the person who had an affair with Chang 'e. It happened around 2 100 BC-2000 BC, which has been 4,000 years.

In short, no matter which Hou Yi was, he lived at least 4000 years ago.
