Did Bao Zheng really exist in ancient times?
It's true! Bao Zheng was a Shenke Jinshi Jiake in the fifth year of Renzong Tiansheng in the Northern Song Dynasty (1027). He was appointed as the magistrate of Jianchang first, and then as the magistrate of Tianchang, which made great achievements. After taking office, he was transferred to Zhiduan Prefecture (Zhaoqing, Guangdong). Back in Beijing, he was appointed as the censor, and later changed to the censor, becoming a "speaking official" (any bureaucrat who misbehaves or breaks the law can be impeached). In order to punish corrupt officials, Song Renzong celebrated the fourth year (1044), and he sent a copy of Begging Don't Take Bribery Officials to Song Renzong, thinking that honesty is a model for people and taking bribes is a "thief". Bao Zheng sent a letter to transfer Wang Kui from Jiangxi seven times, exposing that his "heart is like a snake and scorpion" is harmful to the people, and severely criticizing the appointment system of Song Ting. From the second year of your life (1050) to the third year of your life, Bao Zheng Zhijian Institute impeached Zhang Yaozu three times, calling him "the filth of Manchu Dynasty and the charm of China", and tried the fraud case of Leng Qing, a demon who shocked the ruling and opposition parties, pretending to be a prince. In March of the second year of Song Renzong Jiayou (1057), Bao Zheng was appointed as the official of Kaifeng, and Jiayou left office in June of the third year, just over a year before and after. However, in this short period of time, Kaifeng, which is known as intractable, was managed in an orderly manner. Dare to punish the illegal acts of dignitaries, resolutely curb the arrogance of Kaifeng officials, and promptly punish those who falsely accuse unruly people. In the sixth year of Song Renzong's reign (106 1), he entered the "Second Mansion" and became a member of the highest decision-making organ in the Northern Song Dynasty. After that, his clothes, food and utensils were still "like clothes", which was a typical representative of the upright officials in ancient China. As the folk proverb goes, "If you can't reach the joints, you will have Yamaraja to keep old." Bao Zheng is very serious and seldom smiles. People use "Huang Heqing" to compare Bao Zheng's smile. Ouyang Xiu, Sima Guang, officials of the same dynasty as Bao Zheng, and even Zhu and others of later generations have made positive comments on Bao Zheng.
