Determined to learn from childhood
Yin Zhiping was born in the late Northern Song Dynasty. His ancestors were officials, and his father and ancestors were charitable. Yin Zhiping has been very clever since he was a child. He entered school at the age of five and can recite thousands of words every day. He also likes monasticism. When he was a child, he often explored the meaning of life.
1 182, when Yin Zhiping 13 years old, he met Ma Danyang, the second master of Quanzhen Sect, and followed him to become a monk. Five years later, he was found by his parents, locked at home and forced to return to the secular world. After several escapes, his parents saw that he was determined to practice Buddhism and agreed.
Yin Zhiping went to Luoyang to learn from Liu Chuxuan, a disciple of Wang Zhongyang, but his parents stopped him, so he planned an escape plot and went to his own temple in Shandong to practice. After learning something, he traveled around.
1 19 1 year, Yin Zhiping took Qiu Chuji as his teacher and was highly valued by Qiu Chuji. From then on, he asked Wang Zhongyang disciple Hao Datong for the Book of Changes. Since Wang Chuyi taught Yi Fa, his fame has gradually increased, and more and more scholars have come here.
Good practice and rich religious experience
It is said that Yin Zhiping's talent is extremely high. He had a casual meditation experience since he was a child: "I am indifferent, but I don't feel that my heart is missing", that is to say, he has reached the realm of "forgetting things and me", and his heart is happy, his body is in shape, and he enjoys it.
After entering the Tao, I used to meditate under the Big Dipper every night. After learning from the immortal Liu Chuxuan, he often sits quietly under a tree at night. Once, in his meditation, he clearly saw Liu Chuxuan coming and taking out a knife as if to kill him. Yin Zhiping remained unmoved and continued to meditate. Liu Chuxuan cut off his head with a knife, and Yin Zhiping breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that Master was helping him "reform himself"; 10 days later, I saw a real person coming in meditation, which broke my heart. Yin Zhiping knows that this is to help him "free from vulgarity"; After another 10 day, the undead came to cut open his abdomen and take out all the internal organs. Yin Zhiping knew that he was truly enlightened from then on, and he was able to get rid of the world and become more and more holy. Yin Zhiping realized: "I sincerely feel God, but it is not empty. If you can do your best, the sage is not far away. "
In his martial arts novels, Jin Yong described Yin Zhiping as a lecherous Taoist who raped the little dragon girl with great passion. But the real Yin Zhiping not only has firm will, but also has successful practice.
Save the world and spread the law.
12 19, Genghis Khan sent Liu Zhonglu as an envoy, invited Qiu Chuji to the throne, and preached the art of immortality. Yin Zhiping thought that he could take this opportunity to influence the Mongols with Quanzhen religion, so he accompanied Liu Zhonglu to Laizhou to visit Qiu Chuji and lobbied hard to invite Master. Qiu Chuji chose 18 disciple, set out on 1220, and 1222 arrived at Genghis Khan's Khan Hall, where he met Genghis Khan, which is known as "dragon and horse meet" in history. Qiu Chuji advised Genghis Khan to respect God and love others, reduce slaughter, and be abstinent. Genghis Khan ordered people to compile this dialogue into a Record of Feng Xuan Celebrations.
Yin Zhiping once saved the people. When the Mongols invaded, he appealed to the people and saved many people. Those who promise to convert to Quanzhen religion can be exempted from official duties and taxes. When he was in charge of teaching, he formulated the "full truth and clear rules" and ordered people to compile Taoist scriptures; With the increase of believers, Quanzhen religion tends to be extremely prosperous. "The prosperity of teaching style is unprecedented in three generations."
Seclusion practice
Despite the prosperity of Quanzhen religion, Yin Zhiping devoted himself to practice. He wrote a poem "Out of Beijing to Send Changchun Palace Daozhong", which reads:
Seven truths open the orthodox church, and all saints help the Ming king.
Life and travel are God's will, but there is nowhere to hide.
Therefore, after working as a teacher in Yin Zhiping for eleven years, he quit his old job and entrusted his teaching work to Li Zhichang to practice in seclusion.
The third great Khan of Mongolia, Yuan Dingzong specially gave Yin Zhiping the title of "Qinghe as a real person to promote virtue" and the title of "Golden Crown". Later emperors of the Yuan Dynasty also gave him this title, so later generations even honored Yin Zhiping as "Qinghe Real Person".
