Zhu Youjian (16 1 1 February 6th-1644 April 25th), whose name was Deyue, was the 16th emperor of the Ming Dynasty (reigned 1627- 1644). The fifth son of Ming Guangzong, the half-brother of Ming Xizong, and the mother of filial piety queen Liu. The year number is Chongzhen, commonly known as "Emperor Chongzhen".
Zhu Youjian claimed that "I am not the king of national subjugation", and blamed the national subjugation on "the ministers mistook me", and there was no lack of sympathy and affirmation for him in later generations. However, there are also views that Zhu Youjian is ambitious but not talented, and has personality defects such as headstrong, impatient and suspicious, and he has an unshirkable responsibility to the Ming Dynasty. During the Chongzhen period, the Little Ice Age entered a more serious stage, which led to frequent famines and poor harvests, especially in the northwest and central plains, while the increase of land tax remained unabated, leading to intensified contradictions.
Brief introduction of Ming dynasty
The Ming Dynasty (1368- 1644) was a dynasty in the history of China, which was founded by Zhu Yuanzhang. Nanjing was founded in the early days, and moved to Beijing during the Ming Dynasty, which spread to the Sixteenth Emperor for 276 years. By the Ming Dynasty, the territory covered the Han Dynasty, reaching the Sea of Japan and the Outer Xing 'an Mountains in the northeast, and then shrinking to the Liaohe River Basin. North to Yinshan, back to the Ming Great Wall, west to Hami, Xinjiang, back to Jiayuguan, north to Myanmar, southwest to Siam, and then back to Yunnan today. He also set up a detention center in the Qinghai-Tibet region to recover Annan.
During the Ming Dynasty, the absolute monarchy was strengthened unprecedentedly, and the multi-ethnic country was further unified and consolidated. In the early Ming Dynasty, the abolition of the prime minister and the establishment of the factory-health secret service strengthened centralization, but it also laid the groundwork for the eunuch dictatorship in the middle and late period, and the peasant struggle in the Ming Dynasty also entered a new stage.
