Guo Moruo. China History Research is a professional academic journal in the field of ancient history of China sponsored by the Institute of History of China Academy of Social Sciences and undertaken by the director of China Academy of Social Sciences. Guo Moruo is the convener of the first editorial board of Historical Research. His preface discusses the necessity of studying China and world history from the Marxist point of view. He believes that "a serious person who can seek truth from facts, his position, viewpoint and method will inevitably gradually approach Marxism-Leninism and finally coincide with each other".
