In the fiftieth year of Kangxi (17 1 1), Qiu, the right assistant minister of the official department, heard about it when passing through Quzhou, so he played in the court. Emperor Kangxi gave it to Ren Jiu. During the Qianlong period, when Ke Cheng Luming Literature Academy was founded, the villagers in the park helped to cultivate 40 mu of fertile land.
Garden village is adjacent to Shangshu Village, Huaxin Village, Wangjiang Village, Liu Ban Village, Jinban Village, Houwangban Village, Sanguanling Village, Chai Jiacun, Longquantou Village and Huashu Village.
In March, 2020, Zhejiang Forestry Bureau announced the list of "one village and ten thousand trees" demonstration villages in Zhejiang Province in 20 19, and garden village was on the list.
