The Li Dynasty strongly advocated Buddhism, made it the state religion, built temples and allowed monks to participate in politics, so Buddhism developed greatly in the Li Dynasty.
The cultural and educational policies pursued by the Li Dynasty government were also influenced by China's style of study. 1070 (in the second year of SHEN WOO), Li Shengzong built a Confucian temple, which was of epoch-making significance.
