2.( 1) Protection planning of existing rivers and lakes.
(1) The rivers and lakes that are closely related to Beijing's urban development and have played an important role in various historical periods are listed as key protection objects, and the scope of protection is delineated and rectified.
(2) The moat water system: The key protected rivers are the North Moat, the South Moat, the North Tuchenggou and the Tongzi River.
(3) Ancient water source rivers: The rivers under special protection include the Lotus River and the Long River, as well as the Lotus Pond and Yuyuantan.
(4) Ancient Waterborne Rivers: The rivers under special protection include Tonghui River, Bahe River and North Canal.

(2) River restoration planning.
(1) It is planned to restore Zhuanhe River, Changpu River and Yu He River (Shichahai-Ping 'an Avenue section).
(2) Zhuanhe belongs to Tonghui River system, and the restoration of Zhuanhe can connect the long river with the north moat.
(3) The Changpu River is a part of the water system of the Forbidden City, which is connected with the inner city moat water system, the bangs water system and the outer city moat water system.
(4) Yu He (Shichahai-Qiansanmen Street Section) began in the Yuan Dynasty, with Houmenqiao in the north and Qiansanmen in the south. It is planned to restore the upper reaches of Yu He River (Shichahai-Ping 'an Street).
