When expounding the disciplinary nature of folk art, Mr. Zhang, a famous contemporary art theorist and active advocate of folk art in China, clearly put forward the close relationship between folk art and art and archaeology: "Strictly speaking, folk art is a social science with the nature of marginal discipline. Around it, it is bound to be linked with sociology, folklore, art, aesthetics and history, archaeology, psychology and so on. On the other hand, learning folk art must have the basic knowledge of the above subjects. " Art archaeology, as a new discipline growing up in the fields of archaeology and art, has a profound relationship between nature and folk art, with its research objects and research methods spanning the two major disciplines of archaeology and art.
