"Beautiful scenery, peaks and turns, flowers everywhere." Qinglong, formerly known as Annan, has a long history, beautiful scenery, rich products, unique culture and convenient transportation. There is a majestic and steep road on the mountain, which is the famous Qinglong 24 turn.
The full name of Guizhou Qinglong 24 Daoguai Scenic Area is Guizhou Qinglong Stilwell 24 Daoguai Ruins Park, which consists of 24 Daoguai Highway, observation deck, Annan ancient city, US military gas station, caravan hut and Stilwell town. Among them, the 24-turn highway is the core part of the scenic spot, majestic and steep, and it is the landmark section of the famous stilwell road. It is 4 kilometers long and 6 meters wide. The straight line distance from the first turn to the 24th turn is 350m, the vertical height is 250m, and the slope angle is 60 degrees. During the Anti-Japanese War, it became the traffic artery of the Allied China-Burma-India war zone, a symbol of the unity between Chinese and American soldiers and civilians in the Anti-Japanese War, and was known as the lifeline of the Anti-Japanese War.
The 24-way turn, called elegant view in ancient times, is the only place where the ancient tea-horse road enters Yunnan and Sichuan. The terrain is dangerous and the strategic position is extremely important. Has always been a battleground for military strategists. In the past, the crow pass was full of dangers, and there was a trend that "one person guarded it and ten thousand people could not force it". Zhou Wenhua, a poet in the Ming Dynasty, was shocked by his greatness, strangeness, danger and preciseness when he passed the crow pass, leaving a famous sentence: "First, save clothes and land, that is, lock the key." On Route 24, the original horse drinking pool and pavilion were built. Lin Qiaonan, who participated in politics in the Ming Dynasty, wrote an inscription on the wall of the drinking horse pool, and Cai Yurong, the governor of Qingyun Guifu, wrote the words "and drinking people". The road built during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period was destroyed.
Since 1980s, Geshuya, a scholar of World War II in Yunnan, began to study the history of Yunnan-Myanmar Highway. But he originally thought that the "24-way turn" expressway in Yunnan would never be found again. Since then, Goshuya has spent eight years trying to find it. He visited historians and many veterans of World War II, and made numerous field trips along the Yunnan-Myanmar Highway. He even went to Lashio, Myanmar, from Wan Ding on the Yunnan border, along Stilwell Road, through Ba Maw, Myanmar, to China, but he never found anything. Photographs are always far from the field comparison. At the end of 200 1, ge accidentally learned that the "24-way turn" expressway was in Annan. "Annan" is the old name of Qinglong County in Guizhou. So Ge got on the train to Guizhou. In 2002, after on-the-spot investigation, Ge announced his discovery to the press, and finally unveiled the mystery of the "24-way turn" highway in Qinglong County, Guizhou Province.
This is also one of the scenes of the TV series "Twenty-four Turn". In order to let everyone experience different feelings here, many activity venues have been built. There are: outdoor camping, barbecue houses, outdoor sports places for teenagers, etc. Let tourists stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city and get a kind of relaxation. You can visit and experience it when you have the opportunity.
As a famous image of "Stilwell Road" in world history, the "Twenty-four Turn" Anti-Japanese Highway is a historical witness of the world anti-fascist war and War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, China, and a symbol of the Sino-American military and civilian unity in the war of resistance, which also has important historical and archaeological value in the history of highway construction.
What is particularly commendable is that due to the road diversion, this "24-way turn" completely retains its original historical features and its historical value is more obvious. It is also listed as one of the famous "Eighteen Scenes of Golden State".
