The origin and origin of Liu are as follows:

First, the source of Liu's surname

According to the historical records Hanshu, Tongzhi Genealogy and Chinese Surnames, it mainly comes from three surnames: Qi surname, Ji surname and the change of foreign surnames. Liu, whose surname is Qi, has two homologous branches: one comes directly from Liu Lei and was formed in Xia Dynasty; In the early Spring and Autumn Period, a scholar society composed of descendants of Liu Lei was formed. Originated from the formation of Ji surname in the Spring and Autumn Period, taking the city as the standard. The change of foreign surname was formed in the early Western Han Dynasty.
