Content introduction:

This book tells the history of philosophical thought from more than 2000 BC to the present, including eastern thoughts such as Brahmanism, Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism, as well as western schools such as ancient Greek and Roman philosophy, medieval philosophy and existentialism. Of course, it can't exhaust all thoughts, let alone answer all questions, but by succinctly and powerfully conveying the most outstanding achievements and the answers to the most fundamental questions about life, we can penetrate the long time and space, draw nutrients and courage from these great hearts and pursue our own answers. We will find that for 4,000 years, from the unknown author of ancient India to Kant, the philosophical giant, from China to Europe, the question of how to be a man and what is a good life has never stopped.

This book is written for those who, regardless of whether they have received formal college education or not, never lose heart in the face of troubles in work and daily life, as well as major historical changes and social disasters in our time, and always try to reveal the mysteries of the world through independent thinking and try to find the answers to eternal life problems. They never deny that great thinkers and their works through the ages will benefit us.
