About the history of Rio de Janeiro
Portuguese explorer Pedro lvares Cabral discovered it on1October 20th. Therefore, it is called Rio de Janeiro, the "January River". This name is a legend, because they think that the mouth of the bay is actually an estuary. But no experienced sailor would make such a mistake. In fact, "river" was a general term for any large area of water at that time. The appearance of unofficial Europeans here did not last long. 15 19 When Ferdinand Magellan supplied his boat on the beach here, French smugglers had begun to use this beach as their base camp for smuggling Brazilian timber. 1555, when French naval officer Nicolas Durand de Villegaignon arrived with a fleet and two ships, as well as 600 soldiers and colonists, he established the first permanent residence in Europe. This colony is called "French Antarctic". The colonists were mainly composed of Huguenots in France and Calvinists in Switzerland. Villegaignon left in 1557 after a conflict with some colonists. March 1565, the city was named s? 0? Sebastian? 0? Rio de Janeiro (San Sebastian on the January River) was founded under the rule of Sebastiatilde. Throughout the century, this settlement has often been called s? 0? Sebastian? 0? 0o is also known as Saint Sebastian. The city was built as a base for invading French colonies. They successfully occupied and expelled the French at 1567. Later, "s? 0? Sebastian? 0? 0o "is often attacked by pirates and privateers, especially Portugal's enemies, such as the Netherlands and France. Rio's initial address is just at the foot of Sugar Bread Mountain P? 0? 0o-de-A? 0? 4 → Cars. Later, the whole city was moved to the top of a mountain surrounded by mountains, imitating medieval European castles, and later called Morro do Castelo. Therefore, the city starts from the existing city center (urban area, see the figure below) to the south, and then to the north (large-scale construction activities to reclaim land); The urbanization process that continues today. /kloc-In the late 6th century, the Portuguese gathered and began to form villages. Brazil was a strategic place for maritime transportation in the Atlantic Ocean, and African colonies also came to Europe. Build castles and form alliances with indigenous neighbors to defend against invaders-Rio's neighbors, such as Niteroi, were founded by an indigenous leader named Tamoio Indian Araribóia. Its purpose is to support defense. Sugarcane sugar used to be the main industry in this area. Aborigines and Africans are usually slaves employed in handicrafts. In the end, the industry shrank, and the high-quality sugarcane sugar industry produced in northern Brazil developed. Until the beginning of18th century, the city was repeatedly threatened and tried to invade, usually by French pirates, including Jean-Fran? 0? 4 ois Dulerc and René Duguay-Trouin. 1720 years later, Rio de Janeiro became an important export port after the Portuguese discovered gold and diamonds in Minas Gerais. 1763, Portuguese colonial politics moved the administrative power to Rio de Janeiro. This city was the capital of the colony until 1808, when the Portuguese nobles and royal families moved to Rio de Janeiro for fear of Napoleon's invasion of Portugal. This place has become the capital of Portugal, so Rio de Janeiro is the only city outside Europe where European countries have set up their capital. At that time, for the sudden migration of nobles, the city could not build space to give them a proper living environment. 1822, Pedro I declared the independence of Brazil. He decided to make Rio de Janeiro the capital of the country, but the city gradually lost its importance, and he moved the economic and political center to Sao Paulo. When the monarchy was replaced by a republic, Rio de Janeiro remained the capital of Brazil. Until the beginning of the 20th century, the city began to develop into districts (see the figure below), and the center of gravity of the city began to shift to the south and west, to an area called Zona Sul. The first tunnel under the mountain was built to reach Botafogo and neighboring cities, and it is now called Copa Cabanes. The natural beauty of that beach, together with its reputation, is also known as Copacabana Palace Hotel, 65438-2009, which was a luxury hotel in the United States in the 1930s. Today, Rio de Janeiro is still the main city for parties (although this reputation has been somewhat vilified due to the violence caused by the drug trade in recent years). Brazil intends to move the capital to the national center, and there was discussion about moving the capital at that time. During the period of 1955, President Kubuqik vigorously promoted the construction of the new capital. Although there are many views that this is just election rhetoric, Kubicek still wants to establish Brasilia in Datan area before 1960. On April 2 1 day, Brazil officially moved its capital to Brasilia. From 1960 to 1975, Rio de Janeiro is a city-state of guanabara (similar to Hamburg, Vienna and Washington, D.C.). However, for administrative and political reasons, one is called "Fu Jia". 0? 00 "("integration ") presidential decree made the federal state of the city disappear and merged with Rio de Janeiro state in 1975. Until now, carioca still advocates that cities should have autonomy. Cristo Redentor (Portuguese: Cristo Redentor) is a large art deco statue of Jesus Christ located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is the symbol of this city and one of the most famous memorial sculptures in the world. In 2007, it was selected as the new seven wonders of the world [1]. Please adopt!
