Since 1997, Dongfu Town has been declared as a national comprehensive agricultural development zone, flower planting has been introduced and many flower training courses have been held. Since then, Dongfu flower industry has developed rapidly and become the largest and most important flower production base in Xiamen. In 2007, the flower planting area in the town was more than 0/00 hectare, accounting for about 30% of the total flower planting area and 40% of the total flower production in the city, of which the grass flower production accounted for 60% of the city, with an annual income of 7120,000 yuan. During various exhibitions and international marathons held in Xiamen every year, tens of thousands of pots of flowers placed by the roadside are all Dongfu grass flowers, which has become a beautiful scenery of Xiamen's convention and exhibition industry. Villagers in Guoban, Tang Hong, Lianhua and Zhaihou also developed individual flowers.

By 2007, there were 14 flower enterprises in Dongfu Town, including: flower cultivation base, Qianhui flowers (seedlings), Jingtang gardening and Yisi flowers. Five gardens in Xiamen, namely Dongfu Geely, Tian Min, Lulu, Yisi and Lvze Horticulture, applied for the trademark of Dongfu Cao Hua, which was approved by the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce on March 14, 2004. Dongfu agate is native to Dongpu Village. In the late 1980s, agate processing began in this village. By 1992, Taiwanese businessmen had set up an agate processing factory in Dongpu village, which was later transferred to local villagers Zhang Wuyang, Chen and Zhang. Zhang Wuyang and others inherited their agate craft and manufacturing technology, and constantly improved the management system. After innovation and improvement, Dongpu agate gradually became stronger and bigger by snowballing. In 200 1 year, there are only 13 agate processing self-employed households in Dongpu Village, with annual sales of100000 yuan. In 2003, the registered trademark of "Dongpu Agate" was approved. In 2006, there were 80 registered factories and 55 family processing factories with more than 2,500 employees in the village, which solved the employment problem of about half of the surplus labor force in the village, with an annual output value of more than 6,543.8 billion yuan. Dongpu villagers get rich by processing agate. Many villagers built Xiaoyanglou and drove cars, and Dongpu Village became the "rich village" of Dongfu Town.

Driven by the development of the agate industry in Dongpu, a number of agate processing enterprises have emerged in the villages of Tang Hong, Guoban, Shanbian, Lianhua and Dingmei. Dongpu agate has gradually developed into Dongfu agate, and Dongfu Town has become a national agate jewelry production base, basically forming a domestic agate processing industry pattern of "Dongfu in the south and Fuxin in the north".

2. Manao Street in Dongfu, Xiamen

In 2005, "Xiamen Dongpu Agate Street" was officially completed. The street is about 1.3km long, with 15 exhibition hall, more than 60 processing plants and more than 2,000 employees. Large-scale processing enterprises include Leixin Agate Jewelry Factory, Yichang Gem Crafts Factory, Leikun Crafts Factory and Xinlei Jade Agate Processing Factory. They mainly produce large agate jewelry such as bracelets, and the output of bracelets accounts for 80% of the whole country. They also run rings, earrings, bead necklaces, pendants and craft carvings.
