Is there really Zheng in history?
Of course there is. Bao Zheng (999— 1062) was born in Baocun, Ji Jie Township, Dong County, Luzhou City (now Hefei City, Anhui Province) in the Song Dynasty. During his heyday, he was a scholar, and served as Dali supervisor, Jianchang magistrate, Zhuanzhou tax supervisor, Tianchang magistrate, Duanzhou magistrate, and moved to the temple to supervise the imperial history. Later, he was sent to Zhangge Zhi Dai, Longtuge Annals and Quansan Shi Si. 106 1 year, as deputy special envoy of the Council. When he was a magistrate, he was famous for his incorruptibility, strict law enforcement, putting an end to official rape and not fearing powerful people. His father, Bao Lingyi, is a scholar and used to be a seven-product insurance company. 1027, Bao Zheng was admitted as a scholar at the age of 29, and was awarded the order of Dali State Supervisor and Jianchang County. As his parents were old, Bao Gong gave up his official position and took care of his parents at home. A few years later, his parents died one after another. He buried them in the east of the city, stayed by the tomb for three years and lived at home for ten years. 1037, Bao Zheng returned to his official career at the age of 39 and became the magistrate of Tianchang County. Later, I went to Duanzhou (now Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province) to learn about county affairs. Later, he was appointed as a supervisor, bachelor and deputy special envoy of the Council. 1062 died in Kaifeng at the age of 64 and died of filial piety. His posthumous works include The Memorial of the Bag. During his tenure in Duanzhou, his achievements were remarkable. He dug wells for water, built dikes for flood control, reclaimed land for farming, developed agriculture, and stored grain to prevent hunger, and so on, which was admired by later generations. Today, there are still historical sites in Zhaoqing, such as Baogong, Baogong Well and Qixingyan Inscriptions, from which we can find the elegant demeanor of Baogong in those days. And the story of "the referendum became an inkstone country" is even more legendary throughout the ages.
