Canrong people are the oldest nomadic people in northwest China. They claim that their ancestors are white dogs and take white dogs as totems. They belong to the Xiqiang nationality and are close relatives of the ancestors of the Yanhuang nationality.
In 77 1 year BC, Gourong invaded the territory of the Western Zhou Dynasty, occupied Zhou Zong, the capital of the Zhou Dynasty, killed Zhou Youwang, and his favorite concubine was taken captive. The "Jiuding" gem, which symbolizes the highest power and status in China, was also plundered to the grassland by Dog Rong, and the capital was rich, and the northwest of pickaxe was occupied by Dog Rong. The Western Zhou Dynasty, which was powerful for about 300 years, perished. After the death of the Western Zhou Dynasty, the allied forces of Jin, Zheng, Wei, Qin and other governors defeated the soldiers of the dog Rong, established Yi as the King of Ping for a long time, and moved the capital to Luoyi (now Luoyang, Henan Province), which is known as the "Eastern Zhou Dynasty" in history. Since then, Gou Rong has been the most terrible enemy of the Han nationality. Until the Tang Dynasty, people in the Central Plains also referred to all the nomadic peoples in the northwest as "dog Rongdi".
According to the records of the later Han Dynasty, a country with a large population of Xirong White Wolf appeared in the original range of dog Rong activities in the Han Dynasty. The white wolf king is a descendant of dogs.
According to historical records, the ancient Qiang people, the mother family of dog Rong, also worshipped dog totems. Judging from the ethnic classification, Zurong nationality is Xiqiang nationality. Then the above-mentioned "dog glory", "white dog" and "white wolf" are all Xiqiao people. It can be concluded that the Western Qiang nationality is a nomadic people who take the white wolf or white dog as their totem.
So today, the tribes of Mongolia and Qiang who worship wolf totem are all descendants of Gou Rong.
