According to legend, in the rivers and lakes with swords and shadows, it is an essential item for chivalrous people to eliminate violence and ensure peace; In the battlefield of bullets, it is a life-saving elixir for soldiers to come back to life. Yunnan Baiyao has a history of nearly a hundred years since its establishment. With its magical curative effect, it sells well at home and abroad, and its prescription is still top secret in the field of economic intellectual property rights of China government.

Baiyao pursuit

1938 In March, China army won the battle of Taierzhuang. In the camp of China's army, an army from Yunnan is surprising. Wearing French helmets and shoes with scissors, they fought bravely. They still have a small bottle of white powder on them. These soldiers are injured, no matter what, as long as they can move, no bandages and no stretchers. They just eat a little of this white powder, apply it externally and fight again.

What magic thing is the white powder used by soldiers of Yunnan army? This is Wan Ying Bai Bao Dan, which is called the holy medicine for treating diseases. Later people called it Yunnan Baiyao.

Why does Baiyao have such a wide and unique therapeutic effect? Who created Baiyao?

According to the local literature and history materials in Yunnan Provincial Archives, Yunnan Baiyao is a Chinese patent medicine powder specially created by Yunnan Renqu for the treatment of traumatology. It has a history of 100 years, and its formula is still a top secret in the economic and intellectual property fields of China government.

For Qu, there is also a simple record in the data: Qu, the word Star Rank, formerly known as Song Zhanen, 1880, from Zhaoguan Village, Jiangchuan County, Yunnan Province. 1902, Qu successfully developed Baibaodan, the predecessor of Yunnan Baiyao.

Qu, born in 1880, developed Baibaodan in 1902, and was only 22 years old. How did such a young mountain village doctor develop Yunnan Baiyao, which will be famous all over the world in the future?

This provides a rich imagination space for ordinary people. And these stories circulating in the streets, teahouses and restaurants seem to be more magical than the origin of Baiyao itself.

Legend has it that one day, Qu went up the mountain to collect medicine and saw two snakes fighting. After a while, one of them lost. The dying snake swam to a meadow and wriggled. At this point, a miracle happened, and in a short time, the wound on the snake became as good as before. Qu picked up the grass and identified it carefully after the snake swam away. He decided that it must work wonders. Therefore, Qu combined folklore and his own experience in treating diseases and stopping bleeding, and finally created Baibaodan.

But around 1930, Qu himself once advertised in the newspaper that his Baibaodan was handed down by "aliens". The speech of Mrs. Qu Miao published in Yunnan Daily 65438-0956 also confirmed this point. And affirmed that this "stranger" is Yao Lianjun of Gejiu County, Yunnan Province.

According to Miao, when Qu was young, his parents died. One day, 16-year-old Qu suddenly fell seriously ill and fell on the street of Gejiu county. Fortunately, Yao Lianjun saved him.

Yao Lianjun is a traveling doctor who is proficient in surgical pharmacology. Later, Qu took Yao Lianjun as his teacher and followed him to travel to northern Yunnan, Sichuan and Guizhou. Mentors and apprentices go around collecting medicines and practicing medicine. Under the guidance of Professor Yao Lianjun, within a few years, Qu got all the true stories of his master.

On the basis of previous and folk prescriptions, through continuous practice, 1902, Qu developed a wound medicine called "Baibaodan". This white powder has strong anti-inflammatory, hemostatic, blood circulation promoting and blood stasis removing effects. People call it Baiyao according to its shape.

Although the origin of Baiyao is still controversial, Qu's identity as the founder of Yunnan Baiyao has been recognized by most people.

Baiyao kingdom

This is one of the few photos of Qu, in which he looks smart and confident. And God seems to care for this thin middle-aged man, constantly providing a performance stage for the white powder in his hand.

A person's life is often completely changed by an opportunity, but the first opportunity that Qu encountered was entangled with a bandit leader.

19 13, the commander-in-chief of Yunnan, Tang, began to send troops to wipe out bandits in Yunnan. One day, while practicing medicine, Qu happened to treat an injured person. What he never expected was that the injured person turned out to be Wu Xuexian, a famous bandit leader in southern Yunnan.

In the tenth year of the Republic of China, warlords staged a mutiny in Yunnan, and Tang, then governor of Yunnan, was forced to flee to Hong Kong. In the second year, Tang rallied and led the troops back to Yunnan, intending to make a comeback. In order to win, he bribed Wu Xuexian with the title of commander. Wu Xuexian helped Tang successfully return to Yunnan. In order to repay Qu for saving his life, he wrote to Tonghai, invited Qu to move to Kunming, and opened a traumatology clinic in Nanqiang Street. Wu Xuexian also helped Qu to establish a solid relationship with the upper echelons of military and political affairs in Yunnan.

1937, Japan launched a full-scale war of aggression against China, and the people of the whole country were United and United. History inadvertently pushed Qu to the foreground.

On September 5, 1937, more than 40,000 soldiers of the 60th Army of the National Revolutionary Army left for the anti-Japanese front with the farewell of Kunming citizens. On this day, Kunming was crowded with people, and people took to the streets to bid farewell to Yunnan's first army against the Japanese aggressors. And Qu also led the guys in the pharmacy to the street early in the morning. When the troops passed by, everyone was stuffed with a bottle of Qu Baibaodan.

At the beginning of 1938, China army won the battle of Taierzhuang. The 60th Army fought bloody battles with the most elite Japanese troops for nearly a month. Yunnan children killed more than 20,000 Japanese soldiers with friendly forces at the expense of more than 18,000 casualties.

Zhu Xixian, who used to be a bodyguard of Long Yun, the president of Yunnan Province, had a personal experience of Baiyao in the Taierzhuang campaign: the wound was too heavy, so he took out his own Baiyao and sprinkled some on it. Dress up after spraying Baiyao, and the wound will be healed in two days. Almost everyone regards Baiyao as a treasure, a life-saving treasure.

The battle of Taierzhuang not only made the Dian army famous, but also made Qu Baibaodan famous all over the world.

1933, Qu was elected as the chairman of Yunnan Medical Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine. 1935, Chiang Kai-shek met Qu in Yunnan provincial government. Qu took this opportunity to send 500 bottles of "Three liters of Baibaodan" to Chiang Kai-shek. Chiang Kai-shek was very happy and wrote an inscription with perfect effect.

With the new umbrella, Qu also has a new goal, which is to control the whole Baiyao market.

Through a series of operations, Qu's Wan Ying Bai Bao Dan achieved a golden period of rapid development. By 1938, the output of Patek Dan reached a record 400,000 bottles, which was used to meet the needs of the Anti-Japanese War.

White prescription for pulling the soul

Yunnan Baiyao is the most mysterious Chinese patent medicine in the 20th century. Its formula is still a state secret, which brings people endless imagination, which seems to be one of the secrets of its lasting charm. There have been many rumors and arguments about White Square in history, that is, who is the true heir of Qu? Has the white side been handed down?

All mysteries and puzzles point to 1938.

1938 one day in early spring, the national government invited Qu and other famous businessmen in Kunming in the name of donating money to support the Anti-Japanese War. Qu readily agreed to a plane. At that time, the national government asked him to donate 30 thousand, and later said that he would donate national currency. At that time, the difference between the national currency and the Yunnan currency was very large, about dozens of times. 30 thousand became 300 thousand Although the business is very big, Qu can't come up with so much cash at the moment. After various fund-raising, he was unable to pledge, and then he was locked up.

Qu was cornered at the moment.

At this time, Jiao, a member of the Kuomintang Central Committee, invited Qu to Chongqing in the name of Yi Guang, a curator in Huazhong, to contribute to the War of Resistance. His appearance gave Qu a chance in despair.

1August, 938, that is, two months after Qu arrived in Chongqing, the bad news suddenly came and Qu died of illness.

According to the rumors at that time, Jiao invited Qu to Chongqing to work in Yiguang, but at the same time asked Qu to hand over the prescription of Baiyao, which was produced by Zhonghua Pharmaceutical Factory, which was privately controlled by Jiao. Qu refused, so he was put under house arrest and eventually died of hunger strike.

Sadly, Qu, who has been well versed in officialdom shopping malls for more than 30 years, failed to make it easier through his own painstaking efforts, but ended up like this.

Qu has been married twice in his life. Among his descendants, he has three sons with his ex-wife Li Huiying. Qu Wanzeng, the eldest brother, worked as a doctor, and his descendants still worked in Yunnan Baiyao Factory. Qu and his second wife Miao Yu have three daughters, 1, among whom Qu has been engaged in the production of Baiyao.

In his will, Qu granted his wife Miao the right to inherit the pharmacy. Miao even claimed that before going to Chongqing, the two men kowtowed in the Town God Temple, swore in front of the immortals in the Town God Temple and handed down the prescription of "Qu Ying Bai Wan".

When Qu was alive, the son of his original wife, though afraid to contradict his father, was already dissatisfied. At this time, Miao publicly declared that he was the only descendant of Qu Baiyao. Suddenly, Qu's family suddenly exploded, and Qu's ex-wife and ex-wife opened two lawsuits about the dispute over Baiyao orthodoxy.

65438-0955, relevant departments in Yunnan organized an investigation on Baiyao. Through extensive investigation and comparison, the research team finally confirmed Miao's identity. At the same time, it does not rule out Baiyao produced by Qu Wanzeng's prescription. Through hard work, the production and sales of Baibaodan reached the level of 1938 in the heyday of Qu Quan.

1955 One day, Miao came to the door and asked to see the main leaders of Kunming. Miao presented the secret recipe of Baibaodan to the court. As soon as the news spread, it immediately became the headline news and sensationalized the whole country. A large number of reports and interviews followed, and all walks of life affirmed Miao's practice. In recognition of Miao's great contribution, 1956, Kunming Municipal People's Government specially held a commendation meeting for her.

From 65438 to 0956, Kunming Pharmaceutical Factory officially received Baibaodan funded by Miao, and renamed it "Yunnan Baiyao" and put it into mass production. Since then, Yunnan Baiyao in a narrow sense has become a proper noun of Qu Baibaodan.

After more than half a century of ups and downs and hard pursuit, the doubts about the authenticity of White finally disappeared. History has also made the older generation of doctors such as Qu and the founder of Yunnan Baiyao get due respect, but the mystery of the origin of Baiyao is still a treasure hidden in the maze, waiting for future generations to explore.

In 2005, Yunnan Baiyao spent 103 spring and autumn.
