China Young Science and Technology Counselors Association was initiated by Zhou Peiyuan, Wu Zhonghua, Jiang Nanxiang, Wang Shouren, Huang Lu, Yuan, Cheng Ping and others, and was established in Beijing on 198 1 with the approval of China Association for Science and Technology. The current chairman of the Council of the Association is Ms. Chen Saijuan.

The association now has working committees on theory, organization, training, publicity and youth science and technology center; At present, the associations of young science and technology counselors in 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government (science and technology education associations and popular science promotion associations) are the governing units of group members, with a total of 287 group member units and 4524 members; There is a magazine "Science and Technology Education in China".

Under the leadership of the China Association for Science and Technology and other units and the Council, the Association actively carries out various scientific and technological education activities in accordance with the articles of association and the working idea of "building a home for scientific and technological educators and serving the vast number of scientific and technological educators", aiming at promoting the scientific spirit, advocating scientific concepts and methods among the vast number of scientific and technological educators, and promoting the development of China's scientific and technological education, combining the development trend of China's scientific and technological education and the needs of its members.
