Shanhaiguan has a long history and rich culture. As early as the Neolithic Age, it was already a place where people worked and lived. Shanhaiguan faces the Bohai Sea in the south, and faces Liaodong Peninsula and Shandong Peninsula across the sea. Since ancient times, all parts of the world have been in Xian Tong, and sails are easy to reach. The east-west crossing "choking its throat" is the key point. Jieshi Port was formed in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, and it was one of the five ancient ports in China.

The first pass in the world is Shanhaiguan East Gate, also known as "Town East Building". Its specifications, according to "Linyi County Records" records: "The East Gate Building is three feet high, and there are two floors here, five feet high, six feet high and half a foot deep. One day, the first biography in the world is a book of great events in Xiao Jian in the Ming Dynasty. "

The building is divided into two floors, one with a height of 5.7m and the other with a height of 8m (including Kissing Ridge). The tower is located on the mountain, with a double-eaved roof, a symmetrical top and a double-kissed ridge, and a brick-wood structure at the bottom. The cornices on the four corners are decorated with different forms of ridged animals, which are beautiful and lifelike. Inside and outside the tower, there are three black and white wooden tablets of "the first pass in the world": the first floor of the building is the original tablet, the second floor is re-engraved in Guangxu five years, and the second floor is engraved by Yang in the ninth year of the Republic of China.

The plaque of "the first pass in the world" is more than 5 meters long and 1.5 meters high, and each word is more than one meter. The characters are regular script, the brushwork is vigorous and powerful, and it is integrated with the tower style, which can be called a masterpiece in ancient and modern times.

Boarding the first tower, looking at the Bohai Sea in the south, the smoke waves are vast and the Great Wall in the north, with strict barriers, making you feel like you are in an ancient battlefield. There are four buildings around the "No.1 Pass in the World" tower, namely Jingbian Building, Muying Building, Lulin Building and Weiyuan Hall.
