The Journey to the West is talking about the Tang Dynasty. Tang Xuanzang took three disciples to the Western Heaven to learn Buddhist scriptures, and Che Fengchao was also from the Tang Dynasty. Strictly speaking, Che Fengchao is a descendant of the Northern Wei Dynasty. His original name was Tuoba, and Che Fengchao began to practice martial arts when he was a teenager. His weapon is a stick. According to historical records, Che Fengchao's martial arts are unfathomable. He started as a soldier, and later became an official with his high martial arts.
Che Fengchao conformed to the prototype of the Monkey King in both dynasties and weapons he used. After all, the Monkey King described in Journey to the West has a strong fighting skill. With the golden cudgel, the Tang Priest escaped the eighty-one difficulty. In the end, four men and four women got the scriptures, and Che Fengchao was also skilled in martial arts. After many hardships, I finally became an official, so the fit between Che Fengchao and the Monkey King is still relatively high.
Another prototype is Shipantou. Historically, Tang Yan passed a temple in Dunhuang on his way to learn Buddhist scriptures. Shipanto was a monk in this temple. Knowing that Tang Yan was going to study Buddhist scriptures, he took Tang Yan as his teacher and became his great apprentice. Many people say that Shipantou is the prototype of the Monkey King, which should be the reason. However, Shipanto only stayed with Tang Yan for three days and wanted to kill Tang Yan for various reasons, so he was driven out by Tang Yan.
There is also a saying that the Monkey King's prototype is Hu Monk, and Hu Monk is Hu Monk. The conference semifinals have thick hair and agile figure. In Journey to the West, the Monkey King is often called a monkey, which may be a homonym of monk Hu, but these are all guesses. Personally, I prefer cars to serve this prototype.
