Jiangnan, a land of plenty, has been relatively rich since ancient times. In ancient times, agriculture was valued while commerce was suppressed. However, businessmen were rich in profits, but their status in any dynasty was extremely low. Therefore, it is natural to take pains to please some officials and please them by throwing money at rare things. In terms of entertainment, all kinds of rare things that have not been eaten have become the mainstream.
Later, in the Qing Dynasty, due to the nomadic people's lack of systematic regulations on banquets, some officials submitted banquet plans to the royal family on the basis of these Chinese documents after the Qing soldiers entered the customs. The emperor thought it was feasible, so he agreed with a stroke of the pen and named it "Man-Han Banquet". Its banquet types can be roughly divided into six types, namely, courtiers' banquet, birthday banquet, Mongolian princes' banquet, nine-white banquet, thousand-wedding banquet and seasonal banquet.
Although the Manchu-Han banquet consists of 108 dishes, it is different in terms of various banquet types. Different banquets have different types of delicacies, but what remains unchanged is that every dish is a treasure. Now that animal protection has reached a higher level, the dishes at the Manchu-Han banquet are doomed to be impossible to present.
In China, this kind of food has been handed down from ancient times to the present. As long as there are recorded dishes, there are real dishes. Although there are some wonderful ways to eat, in the orthodox recipes, every dish recorded in the literature now has its own origin. Compared with other cultures, food culture is worse. Although questioning is good, it is embarrassing.
