There is a 250-million-year-old wood fossil community in Xianweng Mountain in the southwest. There are also places of interest such as the Tomb of the Warring States, Faxing Temple, Chongqing Temple, and national key cultural relics protection units 12.

Zhangzi County belongs to the Loess Plateau, and the local Taiyue Mountain Range is the transitional zone of Shangdang Basin. For a long time, due to the comprehensive action of crustal movement and internal and external forces, the shape has formed a landform with complex surface conditions and obvious differences between altitude and high temperature.

Under the action of internal forces, the terrain is high in the west and low in the east, and the Taiyue Mountain Range inclines from west to east. The cliffs in the west of the county are towering and the peaks stand tall.

The main vein of the mountain range in Zhangzi County starts from Fage Mountain, which is similar to Wolong, forming a natural barrier. One peak protrudes as Fangshan Mountain, extending to the north as Dingshan Mountain, and extending to the south as Antai Mountain, which is the boundary of Zhangzi County, Qinshui County and Anze County.

From this, it turns to the east, reaching Xianweng Mountain at the boundary between the eldest son, Qinshui and Gaoping counties, and continuing eastward along the southeast of the county to Yangtou Mountain at the junction of Gaoping and Changzhi County. From this main mountain range, there are more than ten branches.
