The period of 1960 was the heyday of Yizhuang. At that time, there were 600 coffins and more than 8,000 skeletons in Yizhuang. After cremation became popular in Hong Kong, the number of coffins and bones declined. At the beginning of 2006, there were 7 coffins and 65438 bones in Yizhuang.
People who sent messages included Cai Yuanpei, the former president of Peking University, Chen Jiongming, a warlord in Guangdong, Li, the father of a Hong Kong tycoon, a wealthy businessman, Liao Chuangxing, a banker, and Zhou, the founder of a jewelry and gold store. However, after Deng Jianzhi, one of the founding prime ministers of tung wah hospital, and his wife died in 1906 and 19 15, the ashes were still here, and the village has reached 100.
In 2003, Donghua Group Hospital carried out a comprehensive restoration project for Yizhuang. In 2005, it won the Hong Kong Heritage Award (2004) "Heritage Protection and Restoration Award" and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization "2005 Asia-Pacific Heritage Restoration Award" respectively.
