The School of Humanities of Huzhou University has set up a summer social practice team of "Children read the history of the party and praise the party's kindness at the beginning of sailing", which has compiled red painting readers for children aged 3-6 to help children understand the history of the party extensively and promote the widespread spread of the red spirit among children.

Before the creation began, the team first selected important time nodes in the development of the party as the theme of this red children's picture book. After intense discussions among the team members, seven representative historical events, namely, the Red Boat Party Building, Nanchang Uprising, Zunyi Conference, Long March, Hundred Regiments War, founding ceremony and Reform and Opening-up, were finally chosen as the themes of this picture book. The team is divided into story group and painting group. Story group members are responsible for compiling theme stories, and painting group members are responsible for creating pictures of picture books. The two groups have a clear division of labor and perform their respective duties. During the creative process, team members get together to discuss the characters and details of the story. In order to get more creative inspiration, the creative team visited the Qian Zhuangfei Memorial Hall, which made the team members deeply feel the power of the red spirit! In order to make the story more in line with the children's thinking, the team members also came to the Party-mass Service Center of Longxi Street to tell stories to the children and teach them to draw party flag. This allows team members to better understand the child's heart and make the story more infectious. At present, the theme story creation has basically ended, the painting group is progressing smoothly, and the painting task has been completed more than half.

In the next practical activities, the team plans to go deep into the grassroots and various communities and tell the completed stories to the children, so as to find out the shortcomings of the stories and make them closer to the children's thinking. I believe that with the joint efforts of the team members, this practical activity will definitely come to a successful conclusion.
