The Northern Lights Venture Capital Fund was established in 2004.

As of August 2006, under the leadership of Deng Feng, Northern Lights Venture Capital Fund has invested in Zhuhai Juli (multimedia electronic product processor supplier), Lily Net (China online matchmaking company), Red Kids (maternity products seller), Spreadtrum Communications (wireless communication ASIC manufacturer), Mysee (audio-visual entertainment comprehensive website) and Lianlian Technology (network service operator providing convenient payment service in Zhejiang).

The venture capital team of Northern Lights graduated from well-known universities at home and abroad. In addition to Deng Feng and Ke Yan, the company's investment partners include Chen Datong, founder of Spreadtrum and OmniVision Technologies (Nasdaq: OVTI), and Cao, founder of Linksys and now senior vice president of Cisco, has also become a limited partner of Northern Lights. Yang Lei, the former CEO of Palm Smart, joined Northern Lights Venture Capital Fund in 2006, and Zhou Shuhua, the former vice president of Sina, joined in 2006.
