Beijing Botanical Garden, located at the foot of Xishan Mountain in Beijing, has traditionally been committed to protecting local plants, especially those from the north, northeast and northwest of China. At present, 200 hectares are open to the public, including living plant collections, historical sites and nature reserves. A brief history
Beijing Botanical Garden was established in 1956 with financial support from the central government. The reclining Buddha Temple, formerly known as Dou Shuai Temple, was built in the Tang Dynasty (6 18-907).
