Mulao nationality is an ancient nationality in China. Since Wei and Jin Dynasties, it has been called "Mulao Nationality" and "Mulao Nationality" in history books, and it belongs to Liao and Ling. According to historical records and legends, the Mulao people lived in Luocheng, Guangxi at the latest in Yuan Dynasty or early Ming Dynasty. Their nation calls itself "Ling" and "Jin", while Zhuang people call it "Bujin" and Han people call it "Mulao". After the founding of New China, according to the national wishes, they were collectively called the Mulao nationality. The area where Mulao people live belongs to the rocky mountain zone, with mountainous peaks and valleys, poor soil, inconvenient irrigation and transportation, and difficult economic development. In recent decades, with the continuous construction of water conservancy projects, the irrigation area is getting bigger and bigger, and the grain output is increasing. The mountainous area where Mulao people live is rich in coal, which is known as the coal city, and coal mining is their important economic pillar.
