When Emperor Kangxi died, Fei Yi was ill, and four people carried the soft couch, which was very close to the funeral. It can be seen that Fei Yi was loved by Kangxi during his lifetime and had a certain position and influence in the palace. Fei Yi herself is well aware of her position. When she was at the wake for Kangxi, she knelt down in front of Princess De, the biological mother of the new monarch Yongzheng, which made Yong Zhengdi very angry.
Later, when Yongzheng (grandpa four in the TV series) attacked Ginza (grandpa eight in the TV series) group, it was reported to the emperor that Ginza and others had planned to honor the mother of nine kings, namely Fei Yi, as the empress dowager after seizing the throne. At that time, Yongzheng's biological mother (grandpa four in the TV series) had passed away, otherwise Fei Yi coveted the throne of the Queen Mother, which directly threatened the status of Yongzheng's mother. Judging from Yong Zhengdi's historical record and personality, Fei Yi will not let it go easily.
Fei Yi was one of the four favorite concubines in the early years of Kangxi. Yong Zhengdi's political opponents, Yin Gui (the ninth grandfather in the TV series), his biological mother, Yong Zhengdi and the future emperor Qianlong all excluded Fei Yi when they honored the concubines of past dynasties as toffee.
In the fourth year of Yongzheng (1726), Yin Gui, the second son of Fei Yi, died in prison. In the tenth year of Yongzheng (1732), Yin Qi, the eldest son, died of illness on May 19th. In the 11th year of Yongzheng, Fei Yi died on August 25th. On September 25th, the second year of Qianlong, he was buried in Princess Jingling Garden.
