Since 1983, international organization of consumers unions has designated March 15 as "International Consumer Rights Day" every year, and it has continued from March15 to this day.
International organization of consumers unions (IOCU) is an independent, non-profit and non-political organization. 1960, initiated by consumer organizations in five countries, namely, the United States, Britain, Australia, Belgium and the Netherlands, is registered in the Netherlands, headquartered in The Hague, the Netherlands, and its Asia-Pacific branch is located in Penang, Malaysia.
Festival purpose
(a) to provide information to consumers, educate consumers, and improve their awareness and ability to safeguard their rights and interests.
(2) Handling consumer complaints and helping consumers recover losses.
⑶ Collect consumers' opinions and feed them back to the enterprise.
(4) create public opinion, publicize consumers' rights, and form public opinion pressure to improve consumers' status.
5. Participate in the formulation of laws and policies concerning consumers by the state or government, and ask the government to establish a consumer administrative system to deal with consumer problems.
(6) Establish consumer groups and establish consumer sovereignty.
(7) Strengthen international consumer groups and cooperation.
