In the early Tang Dynasty, the four outstanding figures were Yang Jiong, Lu, and Wang Luo. Although the four of them have not been separated from the beauties since Qi and Liang Dynasties, they have initially reversed the literary atmosphere and are outstanding figures in the early Tang Dynasty.

Introduction to Wang Bo

Wang Bo (649 or 650 ~ 676 or 675) was a poet in the Tang Dynasty. Han nationality, Zi Zi An. Jiangzhou Longmen (now Hejin, Shanxi) people. Together with Yang Jiong and Lu, they are called "four outstanding figures in the early Tang Dynasty", among which they are the first. In August of the 3rd year of Shang Dynasty (676), Tang Gaozong returned from visiting his father and drowned across the sea. He is good at five laws and five unique skills, and his representative works include "Farewell to Vice Governor Du to Shu". The main literary achievement is parallel prose, which is the best in quantity and quality. His masterpiece is Preface to Wang Teng Pavilion.

Yang Jiong

Yang Jiong (650-692), Han nationality, was born in Huayin, Hongnong (now Shaanxi), ranking seventh; Tang Dynasty poet, one of the four outstanding poets in the early Tang Dynasty. In the sixth year of the reign of emperor xianqing (66 1 year), Yang Jiong, who was only 1 1 year old, was promoted to a child prodigy. In the third year of Shangyuan (AD 676), he was promoted and awarded the title of school librarian. Later, he served as a bachelor of Chongwen Museum, and moved to James and Sizhi. In the first year of Hanggong (685), he was demoted to Zizhou Judicial Army. In the first year of Tianshou (690), he taught at Luoyang Palace Art Museum. After the autumn of the first year of Ruyi (692), he was appointed as the magistrate of Yingchuan County. His official management was famous for its harshness and he died in the line of duty. Therefore, later generations called him "Yang Yingchuan".

Lu

Lu was a poet in the early Tang Dynasty. The youngest son is from Fanyang, Youzhou (now Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province) of Han nationality. His date of birth and death is unknown. He was born in a noble family in Lu. He was appointed as the governor of Xindu Yizhou (now near Chengdu, Sichuan). In literature, he is as famous as Yang Jiong and Wang Luo. Lv Shengji consists of seven volumes, and the mourning subset edited and annotated by Zhang Xie in Ming Dynasty. Lu Yougong's poems are parallel prose, with good poetic style, and many beautiful sentences are full of praise, such as "Why did you quit your job when you were more successful than your eyes?" Better be a mandarin duck than a fairy, etc., is praised as a classic by later generations.

Luo

Luo (about 6 19- about 687) is a tourist, Han nationality, from Yiwu and Wuzhou (now Yiwu, Zhejiang). Poets in the early Tang Dynasty were called "four outstanding poets in the early Tang Dynasty" together with Yang Jiong and Lu. Also known as "Luo Fu" with Fu Jiamo. Emperor Yonghui belongs to Li, the king of Taoism. He studied martial arts, worked as a master in Chang 'an and served as an official for three years. He went to prison for some reason and was pardoned the following year. After two years' probation, he resigned in frustration. There is a set. In the first year of Wu Zetian's Guangzhai, King Robin wrote Li Zhidai for Xu Jingye who fought Wu Zetian in Yangzhou. He was unemployed and desperate. Either Yun was killed or Yun became a monk.

Si Jie's contribution is equally famous, initially referring to his poems, mainly referring to parallel prose and fu. Although the poems of the four masters have not lost their beauty since Qi Liang, they have initially reversed the literary atmosphere. Four outstanding figures are the figures in the early Tang literary world in the transitional period between the old and the new. Lu and Luo's seven-character songs tend to be ci-fu, with a slightly stronger momentum; Wang and Yang's five-character rhythm began to be standardized, and the tone was sonorous. Parallel prose is also full of flexibility and vividness in ci.
