In Buddhist scriptures, Shi Zun has many statements about the laws and conditions of the universe. At present, the era we live in belongs to robbery of life (also known as robbery of sages, among which there are thousands of Buddhas). Twenty small robberies are one robbery and four robberies are one robbery. 80 small robbery is a big robbery (about1300 million years). Among the four robberies, we are now living in a robbery, and the robbery has increased and decreased 20 times. Now it's the ninth robbery. Reduce robbery. After eight robberies, no Buddha was born. Only in the eighth robbery, four heavenly kings were born. At the beginning of the ninth robbery, he lived 84 thousand years. After a hundred years, it will be reduced to 60,000 years. When 60,000 years was reduced to 20,000 years, Kayafo was born. When Sakyamuni was born, his life expectancy was 100 years old. Seven thousand years later, at the age of ten, Buddhism became extinct. Robbery increased in the tenth year, and increased by one year after a hundred years. After it increased to 84,000 years old, it decreased. When he was reduced to 80,000 years old, Maitreya Buddha was born, and he lived for 60,000 years. After the tenth robbery, there was no Buddha from the eleventh robbery to the fourteenth robbery, 994 Buddha from the fifteenth robbery and no Buddha from the sixteenth robbery to the nineteenth robbery. When the twentieth robbery increased to 84,000 years old, the building reached the birth of the Buddha and the robbery was completed.

If you go through 20 times and enter a bad robbery, there will be three disasters, and fire, water and wind will be discovered for the second time. (1) Fire, during the disaster, seven suns appeared, the land Xumi Mountain gradually collapsed, and the four seas gradually disappeared. The universe and the first day of Yi Chan knew that there was nothing in the cave. It was a fire. (2) The flood, following the first Zen and seven fires, is worse than the world, and the world is rebuilt. At the time of robbery, the rain is getting heavier and heavier, and raindrops are like axles. It is also an underground waterwheel, boiling and rising. In the world and even on the second Zen day, water is full of everything, such as water to destroy salt. This is the famous flood. (3) The wind disaster, after the two Zen and seven incense disasters, the world recovered. When the evil robbery occurred, the wind came from the wind wheel, and all beings were exhausted, and winds were born everywhere. The whole world, even the three Zen days, was blown to the east and west, which was a famous typhoon. Among the three disasters, there were 56 times in the early stage of fire, 7 times in the second stage of water flooding and 64 times in the third stage of wind drift. Three disasters are also the sense of karma of all beings, fire, flood of greed and typhoon of delusion. There are three disasters in evil robbery, fire, water and wind. After twenty times, we entered the empty robbery. When we are empty for twenty times, the world will recover. When we are empty for twenty times, we will stay in a robbery. If so, Sakyamuni's response to the world is the ninth robbery, which is also the state of our time.

Life span, body shape and fortune are positively related. At the beginning of the robbery, he was 84,000 years old and 840 feet tall. He was blessed with seven treasures in the land, well-fed and dignified, and the weather was good. When Maitreya became a Buddha, he was 80,000 years old and 16 feet long. His appearance is harsh and ugly. A woman got married at the age of 500. At that time, there were no disasters, no winters and summers, no doors closed, no thieves, clothes metamorphosed, and there was no need to work hard. All the gold, silver and seven treasures were hidden and no one looked at them. Its land is flat, without pits, and there are trees on the ground that look like golden dragons. Longhua is in full bloom, so Longhua wins the meeting. People enjoy the heavenly realm. In heaven, there are only three diseases, not pure happiness, one diet, two conveniences and three senility. When you urinate and urinate, the ground naturally cracks, but when you combine, red lotus flowers are born to cover up its foul smell. People will die from graves, and God will descend from the sky. That is, it is supported by ancient Chinese historical facts. (1) Life insurance is different from that in ancient times. Shi Zun's life was born at the age of 100, so Cheng Kang's life is full of profits. For example, he lived to be 93 years old and 97 years old. Before that, Tang Yu lived 10 years old, so Dayu lived 106 years old, Shun lived 100 years old, Yao lived 170 years old, and he was 70 years old in office, and his life span was also/kloc-0. Zhuan Xu reigned for 78 years, Shao Hao reigned for 84 years, Huangdi reigned 100 years, and Yan Di reigned 140 years. Before Fuxi, there were records of mentioning Ji, following Fei Ji and telling his life. I don't know for hundreds of thousands of years, so there are nine brothers of the old emperor, that is, 45,600 years, and the Yellow Emperor, but I don't know for thousands of years. Therefore, it is enough for the two brothers to be 18 thousand years old and hang them in the history books.

(2) The human body is different from ancient times. When the Buddha was born, everyone was eight feet long (the incarnation of Buddha was ten feet six). It has been more than three thousand years now, so the people in this world are about five feet long. Some people excavated ancient tombs before Sui and Tang Dynasties, with thick bones, about three feet longer than modern people. "Feeling between Heaven and Man" contains: The former site of Shudu was originally on Qingcheng Mountain, and now Chengdu is still the sea at that time. When Kayafo passed, someone came back from the Sil River, and there were too many boats. When he saw a rabbit on the shore, he drew his bow and shot it. I didn't know this rabbit was Poseidon. Poseidon was furious, overturned his boat and drowned the sand. Later, in the Jin Dynasty, a monk saw many cracks on the ground, dug them up and got human bones at the bottom of the ship. These bones are all three feet long. When he was a Buddha, his life span was 20,000 years. Zhou Li records that Ke is three feet long and Bo is three inches long. Prove that thousands of years ago, people's hands in the past were bigger than those in the present, and even their utensils were bigger than those in the present. As the witness becomes smaller, the items used become smaller.

(3) People's happiness has the test of valuing the past but neglecting the present, and there is an inherent causal relationship between virtue and happiness. After life is reduced, everything is reduced, people's morality is gradually diluted, and people's blessings are gradually reduced. In short, the seven treasures are disappearing. In ancient China, three generations used gold and white jade, counting hundreds of pairs of pearls, while luminous jade was riding pearls, which was found in small countries. In the Han Dynasty, Emperor Wendi said that 100 gold ingots were the products of ten China people. There are many gold, silver and pearls (from 15000 BC to l 1000 BC) in the tombs of ancient Egyptian pharaohs excavated from ancient Greek castles, which is amazing. The texture of coarse grains, the sweetness of fruits and the fragrance of flowers are not as good as before. According to Buddhist scriptures, when Sakyamuni was alive, the delicious nutrition of water was better than milk a hundred years later. An arhat once burst into tears because the avatar knew about it. It's getting harder and harder to get enough food and clothing. In ancient times, there was no shortage of ten years' storage, and there was no hurry for six years' storage. When the storage was less than five years, it was called "the country is not its country" and "the granary is full of envy". According to historical records, Qin Shihuang sent alchemist Xu Fu to lead a huge fleet of 3,000 people across the sea to Penglai, costing tens of thousands. It can be seen that the national strength was strong at that time. At present, the country seeks five-year storage, but it has not yet. As for ugly appearance, ignorance of information, mental weakness, arrogance and extravagance, disharmony among six parents, heavy tribute, prosperity of fire and water thieves, decline of Buddhism, decline of good people, scarcity of true Confucianism, admiration of those who slander Buddhism, and miserliness of the rich, all these are signs of a decrease in robbing people of their wealth (see Zhou Anshi's An Shi Quan Shu).

In the process of reducing robbery, three minor disasters were discovered. (1) famine. Life is reduced by thirty years, and people are less than three feet. At that time, human's moral and ethical concept of cause and effect has been lost, and the blessings have been enjoyed one after another, and even coarse grains have gradually disappeared, which is the first in food. Covering your body with brown hair is the first thing in your clothes; Take iron as the treasure, decorate the villa first. Fried human skin and bones for the party. I occasionally get a wheat, such as a mani bead, which is closely guarded. The famine came, and on July 7, seven years, there was no rain, nothing grew on the ground, and bones were everywhere. As far as Jambu-Di^pa is concerned, there are only 10,000 people left, which can be regarded as a local race. After the famine, all sentient beings began to feel inferior and dislike centrifugation. (2) Diseases and epidemics. When the life expectancy is reduced to 20 years old and the figure is reduced from three feet to two feet high, the original idea of aversion to centrifugation is also lost. Diseases and epidemics began, and various diseases gathered together and died. After July 7, the disaster was extinguished. At this time, there is no sugar cane and salt, but drugs, such as Kuang Shen Ling Gui Fu. At that time, there was no state organization, no culture, empty land and dilapidated towns. There are only a few small villages, dotted with them. After the disease and epidemic disaster, people have a sense of * * * and dislike centrifugation. (3) The sword and soldiers are a disaster. Six thousand years later, when I was ten years old, the woman got married in five months, only one foot tall, and some people were only one foot tall (the distance between thumb and middle finger opened). At that time, the product of the original thought was disgusted with centrifugation and lost, and only those who practiced the Ten Evil Laws were respected. The sword is coming, and all beings are killing each other. The grass growing on the ground is as sharp as a sharp blade. If it touches it, it will die. After seven days and seven nights, its suffering will be eliminated. There are several soft-hearted beings hiding in Shan Ye. At the end of the sword disaster, the remaining population was only 10 thousand. Those who hide in Shan Ye, after the mountain, embrace and cry, * * * began to abandon centrifugal, vowed to break evil and cultivate good. So their life expectancy is getting longer and longer, and there are more and more blessings. The increase of robbery begins, like a cycle.

Three minor disasters are also the feelings of evil deeds of all beings, such as famine, sword and soldier disasters, and epidemic diseases. Buddha's words: from hunger to sword, the dead all go astray; From illness to death, there are many days. Why? When there is disease, but sympathy, there is no toxic slaughter and fight for it. "On Posa" says: If people can give alms to the hungry with a desperate meal, they will never suffer from famine in the next life. If you give an Alibaba fruit to a sick monk, you will never encounter diseases and epidemics in your next life. If you don't kill for a day and a night, you will never encounter a sword disaster in the afterlife.

The second discovery of "Three Minor Disasters" was 4000 years later, but there was a process from beginning to prosperity, which was called "Climbing over first frost". Observing calmly, the germination of three minor disasters and even local disasters has different manifestations in modern times. One is famine, which is frequent in this century. The main famines are: the Great Famine in the former Soviet Union, the Great Famine in Bengal, the Great Famine in China, the Great Famine in India, the Great Famine in the Sahara Desert and the Great Famine in Africa. The death toll ranges from millions to hundreds of millions. With the development of industrial modernization, the cultivated land area is gradually decreasing and the population is rapidly increasing. It is predicted that food shortage will be a major problem for mankind at present and in the future. The negative effects of industrial civilization in this century are the destruction of ecological environment and the imbalance of human internal environment, which have caused many strange diseases unheard of and brought great challenges to human survival. According to the statistics of the World Health Organization (1996 World Health Report), in the past 20 years, at least 30 new infectious diseases have appeared, including AIDS and Ebola virus. 1995, the number of people who died of infectious diseases in the world was as high as170,000. According to experts' prediction, by the year 2000, the number of people infected with AIDS in the world will reach 654.38+0.2 billion, among which Asia will account for the largest proportion of infected people. The emergence of AIDS is a heavy blow to modern indulgence culture. It goes far beyond the category of pure disease, like the god of retribution falling from the sky, which arouses people's lasting panic and reflection. The disease and epidemic disaster after 5 thousand years may be a thorough liquidation. World history is almost a history of war. All sentient beings have a sense of evil deeds, perniciousness is rampant, resentment is reported, and war is even worse. Only in the short period of 100 of this century, there have been more than 300 wars all over the world. Both world wars took place in the 20th century, with huge casualties. Today's nuclear warheads and intangible chemical and biological weapons (also known as non-nuclear weapons) directly threaten the basic security of mankind. And the sword disaster after 6 thousand years, or the total retribution of human killing.

"Give Up" said: Three disasters began for two reasons: one was to eat delicious food, and the other was to be lazy. With the second discovery of three minor disasters, the Buddhism movement gradually declined accordingly until it died out. The Buddha recorded: "At the age of fifty-two, the first Shurangama Sutra, like a boat, was destroyed first, and the twelve sutras were found and then destroyed, and it was not reproduced, and there was no word. Shaman cassock naturally turns white. ("The Buddha said that the scriptures were destroyed") At that time 16, Lohan collected all the scriptures in the world, stored them in copper towers and sank into the Diamond International. The demise of Buddhism is like losing a torch in the long night, and all beings suffer. In order to show mercy to all sentient beings, the Buddha specially reserved the Infinite Life Sutra to live in the world for a hundred years, and made the final redemption for all sentient beings in the final law.

Or some people suspect that the wisdom of all beings robbed by swords and soldiers is extremely dull. How can we accept this profound "Infinite Life Sutra"? A paragraph of French from Master Zun answered this question with satisfaction: "When my rule goes out, for example, when the oil lamp is about to go out, the light is brighter, so it goes out;" When my law goes out, it is like a light. "("The Buddha said that the scriptures were destroyed ") At the time of recovery, the roots of all beings were particularly fierce, and with the painful persecution, we could understand the method of chanting Buddha at that time. According to the records in the Tripitaka, after the end of the infinite life, the Buddha was still sad for all beings, except for the word Amitabha. At the time of robbery, the word Amitabha was four words, and no one in the world could understand the whole thing, or could understand a word or two. If anyone can understand these four words, he is a teacher in heaven. When the law of knowledge is broken, chanting Buddha is the last pillar of all beings, and the six-character flood name is the wisdom of all buddhas and the origin of all beings' birth. We should respect the pure land law and follow the instructions. If you don't cultivate the pure land, you will be miserable within three disasters.

In order to understand the life situation of modern people and the doomsday, we should have a deep sense of alienation from the heart and a sense of urgency like saving our heads. The fire house is hot, but the people are bitter. If you don't live in the pure land of the west, how can you live up to it? Master Baiyun of the Yuan Dynasty said, "My wife is bitter, and the light and shadow are in a hurry. When will I be humiliated, sad and happy? When do I rest? Life and death are long. Among the three realms, the water floats. Even though the hero has made great contributions, only the bones are left to cover the barren hills. Why not turn back as soon as possible? " ("Lotus World Poetry") We should recite it repeatedly, take the teachings of Buddha Goode as an example, increase our sense of alienation, and strive to jump into the boat of Amitabha's great wish. Cross the bitter sea to live and die, become a Buddha and become a Tao, return to life and death, and benefit all beings.
