Exodus was written by Moses in the wilderness at the foot of Mount Sinai in BC 1420. Objective: to quote how the Israeli nation was redeemed by God and became a people of God (for example, 6: 7, Lev. 26: 12).

Exodus is the sequel of Genesis, and it is a great action of God himself to save the nation of Israel. Therefore, although Exodus is only a short forty years in the vast history; But it is called "redemption period" by later generations.

God's salvation is to lead the nation of Israel from a slave country to a free country. Go out of the secular kingdom and establish the kingdom of God. So Exodus is a book of redemption.
