Four-dimensional goal refers to adding a dimension to the traditional three-dimensional goal (time, cost and quality), that is, sustainability. The four-dimensional goal is not a total denial of the three-dimensional goal, but a more emphasis on the sustainability of the project on the basis of the existing goal. Sustainability includes environmental, social and economic aspects, aiming at realizing the long-term development of the project and protecting the environment. By considering the four-dimensional goals, we can evaluate the performance of the project more comprehensively and take corresponding measures to balance the relationship between the goals.
