The Historic Achievements of Serbia and Germany in the World Cup
As the predecessor of Serbia, Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro have left a distinct mark on the world football. From 1930 to 2002, Yugoslavia participated in nine World Cups and won the second place in the European Championship twice. In the 2006 World Cup in Germany, Serbia and Montenegro also participated in the group stage, but failed to qualify in three games.

The first international match after Serbia's independence was held on August 6, 2006/KLOC-0, and the Czech team was defeated 3-/KLOC-0.

Unlike Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro, which used to wear blue jerseys, Serbia now wears red jerseys and is nicknamed "White Eagle".

There are many internationally famous stars in this Serbian team.

Nemanja Vidic of Manchester United is regarded as one of the best central defenders in the world. At the age of 28, he helped the Red Devils win the triple crown (Champions League, Premier League and Carling Cup) in 2007-08, and was personally elected as the best player of the season.

Inter Milan midfielder Stankovic has long been famous. He made his mark on the international stage from 1998 and is currently the captain of Serbia.

Panterich and Jovanovic are also good players on the offensive line.

In this World Cup qualifier, Serbia showed a strong fighting capacity. They beat France, a traditional strong team, to win the first place in the group, and the 5-0 victory over Romania was even more shocking.
