Discover the hidden treasure building near Harbin Central Street and experience the ground mosaic a hundred years ago.
Don't cross out the first photo. The decoration details of this building are extremely rare in Harbin. At present, it is one of the most unique buildings I have ever seen, and it may be a very good choice for your May Day holiday. I found it in Red Brick Street, a subsidiary street of Central Street, and it was hidden in a residential area. Hong Zhuan Street was originally a food street, which was formed in 1903. At first, many Russians set up bread factories here, so it was named Bread Street.

From the residential area to the building, no signboard was found nearby, indicating that this building is not in the atlas of historical protected buildings. In order to determine the approximate construction period of the building, I asked some 70-year-old grandfathers who played around the building when they were children and told me that the history of the building was over 100 years.

Picked a few architectural details, the shape of the main entrance on the first floor is very distinctive. This is a vase with three painted halberds on it, symbolizing calmness, courage and tenacity. There are vase shapes on every window on the first floor, and they are all flower-shaped, and each shape is different. In the middle of the second floor is the word "home of peace", but should we read it from left to right or from right to left a hundred years ago? On both sides of Anzhiju are Chinese-style winding flowers, and the shape under the eaves should be Chinese-style rhombic lattice. There are so many Chinese-style buildings, I suspect that the community directly opposite should be the lobby of this building, but it was later demolished and made into a community.

The best part is at the door. The shape of the ground is a birthdates surrounded by five bats, which means "five blessings, happiness falls from the sky". A hundred years ago, it was definitely a high-end wonderful design. Even if this model is put into modern decoration, it will not be out of date. Then there is a question here. How was this terrazzo material processed a hundred years ago? I've also seen such splicing shapes in "Matsuura Foreign Firm" at the intersection of Hong Zhuan Street and Central Street. Personally, I feel very shocked.

After entering the door, I found another shape on the ground, which was even more magical. It means "we want to fly in heaven, two birds use one wing, and I want to tie branches on the ground". Moral: "It symbolizes that love is intertwined and will never be separated." In addition to the shape of the bouquet, there are Chinese back-to-back patterns, which can even be traced back to the Stone Age. There is a beautiful meaning of "endless life, wealth and happiness, future generations". It is obvious from these details that the former owner of this building is not an ordinary person.

The design of corridor is very narrow, which is an obvious design technique of private residence. It's interesting to look at this wrought iron shape carefully, like a gourd with a desirable pattern on it. The meaning of ruyi is very simple. Hulu also means "Fulu", and it also means longevity, auspiciousness and prosperity for future generations. These shapes will be confused when used in modern decoration. I am also curious why the owner of this building has made so many decorative shapes that my knowledge reserve is almost hollowed out.

There is a word "shou" on every window on the second floor of the building, which is easy to understand. The key point is that except for the location of the staircase wrought iron, other shapes need to be hand-made, and the cost of this building is not acceptable to ordinary people. Outside the Taoist Temple, the shapes of China Baroque buildings are generally from shops, and few houses have such complicated shapes.

Now there are people living in this building, each floor is about four meters high, and the house is still private property. Although the exterior looks really unsatisfactory, it is absolutely unique, at least the second one has not been found in the existing historical buildings.

I found the window lock of the hook of heaven and earth on the window of the house. This thing is an antique now. I told you that Harbin is a mysterious city. Most people only see the central street, but they don't know that the buildings around it are more interesting. Unfortunately, the stories behind these wonderful historical buildings are hard to find. It can only be analyzed from the design elements of the building, and I don't know who used it. If a foreigner lives in such a house, will the story be interesting?

Finally, attach the specific house number of this building. You don't have to come to this place during the May Day holiday, just pass by and have a look.
