Han Mingdi Liu Zhuang
(/kloc-June 28th, 0/5-September 5th, 75), formerly known as Liu Yang, was the second emperor of the Eastern Han Dynasty, whose temple number was Xianzong and Emperor Xiaoming of posthumous title. The fourth son of Liu Xiu, Emperor Guangwu of Han Dynasty, whose mother is Yin Lihua. In the 19th year of Jianwu (43 years), he became the Crown Prince, and in the 2nd year of Jianwu Zhongyuan (29 March, 57 years), he proclaimed himself emperor on the 5th.
Liu Cang, the king of Dongping: (1 century -83), fifteen years after Jianwu, he was the king of Dongping in seventeen years, and all of them had no salt (Dongping County, Shandong Province). The Book of the Later Han Dynasty said that Liu Cang was "gentle and intelligent". In the first year of Yongping, Ming Di appointed him as the general of a title of generals in ancient times, and stayed in Beijing to assist the government, above the three fairs. Later, Liu Cang was very upset because he assisted the imperial court for many years, and his reputation grew day by day, so he resigned and returned to Dongping.
Liu Jing, king of Guangling: (1 century -67), the eighth son of Emperor Guangwu of the Eastern Han Dynasty, was born to Yin Lihua. After the death of Emperor Guangwu, Liu Qiang, an uncle who pretended to be the king of the East China Sea, was sent to Lu State in Dahong, and wrote to encourage Liu Qiang to rebel and replace Emperor Han Ming. When it was revealed, Emperor Han Ming took him as his half-brother and drove Liu Jing out of Henan Palace. Liu Jing colluded with astrologers in an attempt to take advantage of the Western Qiang Rebellion. In August of the first year of Yongping (58 years), Emperor Han Ming made Liu Jing king of Guangling and took office in Guangling (now Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province). Liu Jing once said, "I look like the first emperor." The first emperor was thirty years old, and I am thirty now. Can I form my army now? "In February of the 10th year of Yongping, Liu Jing, a wizard, sacrificed and prayed for a curse, but when the curse was exposed, he committed suicide. Posthumous title Thought and Guangling Prefecture were removed. His son, Liu Yuanshou, succeeded to the throne (namely Guangling Hou).
Liu Heng (who died young but was not crowned king): (1 century -4 1 August 15), the ninth son of Emperor Guangwu of the Eastern Han Dynasty, in the fifteenth year of Jianwu in the Eastern Han Dynasty (39 years), Liu Heng was named Linhuai Duke. In the seventeenth year of Jianwu (April1August 15), Liu Heng, Duke of Linhuai, died on June 29th, before he was crowned king. Young and childless.
Liu Jing, the evil filial piety king, is courteous, kind and filial.
Yin Lihua was born in a prominent family. Yin's family came after Guan Zhong, a famous figure in the Spring and Autumn Period, who once helped realize the status of a generation of hegemons. When the seventh generation of descendants were in charge of repairs, they moved from Qi State to Chu State, where they were named Doctor Yin and later changed their surname to Yin. At the end of Qin Dynasty and the beginning of Han Dynasty, Yin moved to Xinye.

In the ninth year of Jianwu (33 years), Queen Guo completely fell out of favor and was alienated. During his tenure, Shang Shuling repeatedly advised Shen to let Liu Jiang, the son of Guo Shengtong, go to the East Palace, but was rejected. Finally, Shen Congjing was demoted.
In the 13th year of Jianwu (37 years), after Shu was pacified, Liu Xiuda was made a consort, but Guo Shengtong's consort was not included. His brother Guo Kuang was not promoted to a captain of Chengmen until the 14th year of Jianwu (38 years). In the 15th year of Jianwu (39 years), the Yin and matriarchal families were sealed, except Guo Shengkun's younger brother Guo Kuang. And Liu Xiu named the prince as the male, Yin Lihua's eldest son Liu Yang named the East China Sea male, and the East China Sea Kingdom was the largest among the philosophers according to 23 counties. Guo Shengkun's consort has never been trusted and reused like her Yin brothers, and she is increasingly dissatisfied.
In the 16th year of Jianwu (40 years), when I arrived in the field, I got a bamboo slip. On it, I said, "Yingchuan and Hongnong can ask questions, but Henan and Wan can't ask questions." Liu Yang, the king of the East China Sea, publicly exposed it in the court because "Henan Imperial City has many secret ministers, Nanyang Imperial Township has many close relatives, and the Tian family is beyond the system, which is not allowed." As a result, Liu Xiu increased on-the-spot inspection and killed more than a dozen chiefs. After putting down Du Tian's rebellion, Liu Xiu severely punished the commander-in-chief of the rebellion and moved to other places. Du Tian became a custom in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and the society was restored to stability, forming a good situation in which cattle and horses ate grass and the gates were not closed.
However, Liu Xiu weakened the influence of the heroes in the court and let them enjoy the wealth, but only visited them in the court on holidays. After that, the imperial power was greatly strengthened and the authority was firmly in the hands. After crossing the field, he attacked the local strongmen, killed many county chiefs in the field, shocked the court, and "ruled the country strictly" in the ruling style, realizing the "program of commanding power." At this time, he has been able to control the political impact caused by waste and easy storage, and the foundation of the country has been shaken.
In the seventeenth year of Jianwu (4 1), that is, four years after the world was pacified, Emperor Guangwu decided to abolish Queen Guo Shengtong and make Yin Lihua an heir. Liu Xiu thinks that she is resentful, and her temperament is evaluated as "Eagle Eagle", and she has no virtue of concubinage. She thinks that she will not be kind to Yin Lihua and her mother after her death. Yin Lihua, however, is the original match and has deep feelings for herself. He should serve the ancestral temple and occupy the position of the mother of the country. Therefore, after the national political situation stabilized, legislation began to be abolished. After the abolition of the Western Han Dynasty and the founding of New China, the interval ranged from six months to two years. But because Guo Shengkun had five sons, after Guo Shengkun was abolished, Liu Jiang could still legally live above the Crown Prince as the eldest son. In order to solve this problem, Liu Xiu also abolished the Queen. He also stressed that the queen's immorality led to ectopic pregnancy, which in turn caused the country to shake. It was abnormal and not a blessing to the country, so it was not allowed to celebrate. The political turmoil caused by the abolition of the death penalty was reduced to a minimum.
Coriolus versicolor, who taught the prince to read, carefully spoke some exhortations to Liu Xiu for Guo Shengtong in the hall. He said: "I heard that the feelings between husband and wife, even the son can't interfere with the father, how much more can the minister interfere with the king?" This is what the minister dare not say. Even so, I hope your majesty will weigh the seriousness of the matter, don't violate the love between father and son, and don't let the world talk about it. Liu Xiu said: "Yun is good at understanding the Lord's thoughts with his own heart. He knows that I will not be partial or neglect state affairs." Here, it is said that the cloud is the most self-concerned, and it is guaranteed that it will not be affected by negligence of state affairs in the future.
The monarch and his son are great human relations. In view of the tragedy that father and son ate each other many times in the Western Han Dynasty, Yun was most worried that this kind of thing would be repeated in the imperial court. So he followed the example of wise governors like Wu Ding and Yin Jifu. Because his ex-wife married his second wife, he exiled his ex-wife's son, and advised Liu Jiang to take the initiative to make way.
Guo Shengtong's fault is far less than that of the previous generation. After being deposed, he was named the Queen Mother of Zhongshan and moved to Gong Bei. Liu Xiu gave Guo An the status of "Queen Mother" instead of abolishing her as Shu Ren, and gave her a title, rewarded them with a lot of money, personally visited Guo Fu, and later added a title to Guo Shengkun's sons. First of all, the Guo family had the merit of dragons at the beginning of their reign. As a consort, Guo Shengkun has been cautious for more than ten years. He also gave birth to royal children and made contributions to the royal family, and there was no serious fault in his behavior. He is a celebrity who is kind and broad-minded to heroes, and his three sons who killed their brothers and enemies were all named Hou. Naturally, he is particularly fond of Guo Shengkun and the Guo family. Secondly, he accepted wisdom.
Letters caused Guo Shengkun's eldest son, Liu Jiang, to suddenly change from an illegitimate child to an illegitimate child, and Liu Yang also changed from an illegitimate child to an illegitimate child. At this time, the uncle was ectopic and his name was wrong in the position of the Crown Prince. Therefore, Liu Jiang is very upset. He followed versicolor's advice and wrote many times that he would give up the position of prince.
Children are more valuable than mothers.
Since then, Liu Yang, the king of the East China Sea, has participated in government affairs as the eldest son in the court. In the 19th year of Jianwu (43 years), he showed outstanding political talents in the events of pacifying witches, pacifying Fu Zhen in the rebellion of former Wu. Liu Yang's outstanding performance shows that after two years' preparation and careful training by Liu Xiu, Liu Yang has enough qualifications, prestige and experience to participate in government affairs in the imperial court, and can shoulder the heavy responsibility of Chu army. At the same time, Liu Qiang, who has become an illegitimate child, is becoming more and more uneasy about the throne. Finally, Liu Xiu agreed to Liu Jiang's request to resign from the throne and entrusted Liu Yang with the right to inherit the throne.
In the same year, Liu Xiu decided to change Liu Yang, the son of Yin Lihua, into a prince, and the former prince Liu Jiang abdicated as the king of the East China Sea, and wrote: "In the sense of Spring and Autumn Annals, sons are precious. Wang Yang of the East China Sea, the son of the Queen, should inherit the Great Unity. The crown prince is strong, respectful and modest, and willing to prepare for the country. The love between father and son has long been lost. It took Qiang as the king of the East China Sea and Liyang as the crown prince, and was renamed Zhuang. "
After Liu Zhuang became a prince, he went to the East Palace, and Liu Xiu personally inspected him. He hired Prince Huan Rong, a famous contemporary Confucian professor, with hundreds of thousands of silver, and appointed scholars with experience in teaching students such as He Tang, Liu Kun, Bao Xian and Zhong Xing to teach the knowledge of the Crown Prince. Because Qian Jiang has never been to the East Palace, the East Palace has no ready-made organizational system, and officials and systems are not complete. In the twenty-fourth year of Jianwu, Ban Biao made an admonition, selected talents to serve as Prince Taifu, improved the official positions of the East Palace and Wang Fu, and set up the system of Crown Prince Tom and sitting in the court according to the old code of the Western Han Dynasty. Liu Xiu agreed.
In the 28th year of Jianwu (52 years), after nine years of study, Liu Zhuang learned something. Liu Xiu attached great importance to the candidates of Taifu, specially convened hundreds of officials to discuss and recommend, and finally appointed Zhang Yi as Taifu and Huan Rong as Shaofu.
The philosophers stayed in Beijing.
In June of the 28th year of Jianwu (52 years), another great event happened that shook the ruling and opposition parties. Shouguang Li, the son who turned over a new leaf, held a grudge against Liu Pengzi for killing his father, so he made friends with Guo Shengkun's son and killed Liu Pengzi's younger brother Hou Liugong. Liu Xiu was furious. Although Guo Shengkun died not long ago, he sent a letter to arrest the guests of the princes, and even caused a tragedy in which three people were buried in the mourning hall in Guo Shengkun. Put Liu Fu in jail for three days. Thousands of people were implicated and died.
However, there are lucky people. After hearing about it through the Yin family's affinity with the king, he pleaded guilty in prison, but he was particularly tolerant and was released.
In August of the same year, Guo Shengtong's first four sons Liu Jiang, Liu Fu, Liu Kang, Ada and Xu's son Liu Ying all went to China, while Yin Lihua's son stayed in Luoyang, and Ming Di acceded to the throne a few years later.
Yin Lihua's second son, Liu Cang, is also highly valued by his father. During the Jianwu period, he also wrote letters and participated in state affairs.
