Sichuan history and culture
The main body of Sichuan culture is Bashu culture, which refers to the existence and development of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, relying on Bashu area, covering Tianshui and Hanzhong areas in the north and eastern Yunnan and western Guizhou in the south.

Bashu culture is brilliant and has a long history. As early as the era of human origin, Wushan people and Ziyang people appeared one after another. This is the era of the legendary "Bashu cohabitation, which originated from the emperor". With the development and progress of Chinese civilization, Bashu culture has been shining in various historical periods, and today, Sichuan culture is still a heavy and dynamic important part of Chinese culture.

The origin of civilization

In the Neolithic Age, Bashu experienced a unique era of gray pottery culture, jade culture and bronze civilization. Baodun culture, represented by the ruins of six ancient cities in Chengdu Plain 4500 years ago, indicates that the gathering of tribes eventually gave birth to the initial urban civilization. On this basis, the ancient Shu culture of the Western Zhou Dynasty, represented by Sanxingdui in Guanghan and Jinsha Site in Chengdu, shows the unique brilliance and extraordinary bronze civilization of the jade age. The coffin burial in Chengdu Commercial Street and the discovery of Majia Tomb in Xindu in the early Warring States period confirmed that the existence of the enlightened king in ancient Shu was no longer false. It is said that the five ancestors of ancient Shu, from Can Cong, Guan Bai and Yu Fu to Du Yu and Enlightenment, lived and developed in different times and were rooted in this profound cultural soil discovered by archaeology. Chengdu Plain was the center of the development of ancient civilization in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River at that time, the node and growing point of the Yangtze River civilization, and the historical orientation of Bashu culture in the whole pre-Qin period.

Ding Sheng pengbo

During the Qin and Han Dynasties, the agricultural civilization of Bashu, which was characterized by "water conservancy colonization", developed, and kept the record of "land of abundance, showing off China" until the Han and Tang Dynasties. Until the Song Dynasty, Tianfu agricultural civilization reached its peak. During the Han, Tang and Song Dynasties, the development of Bashu ecological culture was in the forefront of the whole country and even the world, and Bashu culture flourished twice. At that time, the people of Bashu created dozens of historical and cultural records, such as the world lacquerware manufacturing center, the origin of world natural gas discovery, block printing, world paper money and so on, and made proud contributions to the unification of Chinese national culture.

The creator of Bashu culture is famous for being good at understanding and surpassing himself and contributing new cultural factors, and the cultural giant "Yao Ying Bing Ling" is even more famous throughout the country. From Sima Xiangru, Yang Xiong, Chen Ziang and Li Bai to Su Shi, Zhang Wentao, Li Tiaoyuan and Guo Moruo, they are all encyclopedic cultural giants, and their articles are the best in the world. Among them, the spherical thinking and divergent thinking of Bashu people originated from the grotesque and romantic thinking background of Sanxingdui bronze civilization are the most distinctive. Until the May 4th Movement, the first person to shout out "Down with Kongjiadian" was Wu Yu, a fan of Xinchuan, which reflected the spirit of Shu people who were brave in pioneering, fearless of power and unaffected by customary forces.
