Left and right are the names of two opposing political factions, sometimes called left and right respectively. Due to historical and national cultural reasons, these two terms have no clear and accurate definitions, and their meanings are different in different regions and historical stages.
In reality, the political opinions of most people and political parties are left and right, and it is difficult to clearly distinguish whether a person is left or right.

1789 In June, at the Constituent Assembly of the French Revolution, priests and nobles mostly sat on the right side of the parliament, while the bourgeoisie, urban civilians, workers and peasants sat on the left. Thus, "right" or "right" has become synonymous with conservatism and opposition to social change, while "left" or "left" supports liberalism and revolution, sometimes referring to radicals.
Since then, conservatism or change has become the source of division, but this is not the case. Once the reform or radical ideas are realized, the original conservative ideas call for changing the status quo, but the names of left and right still exist, such as the post-reform period of China people. The expansion of political views is also related to the left and right. The leftist who advocated change at the earliest put forward many political demands for expansion, but after a long time, the offensive and defensive trend was completely reversed. * * * The thought of productism was expansionary at the earliest, demanding "overthrowing the old world and the old system". After World War II, Europe and America strengthened their defense against productism. /kloc-in the 1950s, the United States began to actively suppress * * * productism, and its advocates were called the extreme right wing.
Because of the fuzziness and variability of left and right, people who also advocate it are antagonistic in different countries and periods. Common hawks often refer to the left in China and the right in Japan. The word "left and right" refers to a general concept and will not be used to study specific political opinions, values and schools of thought. Generally defined as constitutionalism, liberalism, productism, socialism, democratic socialism and Nazism. Because in a specific country, region and period, left and right have a clear context, so it is still a widely used term.
Due to the commonness of left and right, according to the degree of their political opinions, they are also divided into extreme left, middle left, middle right and extreme right. There is no uniform standard and title for these classifications.
Western standards for dividing left and right factions
The slogan of the French Revolution is very beautiful, called "Freedom, Equality and Fraternity". But any exciting slogan has one disadvantage, that is, it can't stand scrutiny. Freedom and equality seem to be irrelevant. In fact, when we really dig deeper, we find that they are contradictory at all. Everyone's talent, ability, background and living environment are different. If everyone is allowed to develop freely, their wealth and status will not be equal. If everyone wants to be "equal" in economy, status and power, it will inevitably limit the freedom of the strong to protect the weak. The left and right factions originated from the French Constitutional Convention, but were soon shaped into two factions that had nothing to do with the original intention. Among them, the left supports equality, emphasizes building a welfare state, and helps the weak more through state intervention. The left naturally attaches more importance to the establishment of a strong government, while the right emphasizes freedom, opposes excessive welfare, supports competition, opposes state intervention, emphasizes the establishment of a "weak" government, and opposes excessive restrictions on the strong. But the difference between left and right is only based on the emphasis on equality and freedom. The left is more equal and the right is more free. They all have the same understanding of the basic rights of equality and freedom.
The left believes that the regime and the country are the parents of the people, and regime change is as incredible as changing relatives. The Rightists believe that the state and the government are public servants of the people, and there is no difference between changing political power and changing public servants. If you feel bad, you should change. In fact, both the left and the right are anti-government to varying degrees, because the left believes that many actions of the government, such as diplomacy, cannot satisfy them; The Rightists believe that the current system cannot satisfy them. At this point, there is basically no possibility of reconciliation between the two. The reason is that the left believes in the strength of the collective, that a strong collective can bring the greatest fairness and protection to individuals, and that the right believes in the strength of individuals and that a strong individual can make the collective more free and progressive. The left believes that the decline of China in modern times and all kinds of problems in modern times were caused by the invasion and interference of foreign forces. The Rightists believe that the decline of China led to foreign aggression, and the predicament after the founding of the People's Republic was due to the wrong behavior of our government. The argument between "external cause theory" and "internal cause theory" is as boring as tapping the small head or the big head when eating eggs. Both sides are wise after the event, and both sides are reasonable.
The left is used to politicizing everything, from the Gang of Four's opposition to Premier Zhou and Vice Premier Deng's purchase of foreign ships during the Cultural Revolution to 10,000 people's signature boycott of the "Shinkansen"-never buy anything from your enemy. On the other hand, the Rightists believe that economic interests are the priority and national development is important-why should we spend 10 yuan to do it by itself instead of buying 5 yuan from outside? Both the left and the right claim that their views are in the best interests of China. As for which faction is right, time will tell!
No one, whether left or right, can represent the people of China, because the people are all centrists. A centrist put it well: "A cynic is boring, and a traitor is full of love."
What is extreme left and what is extreme right?
The so-called extreme left is to push leftist thinking to extremes and break through the "bottom line of freedom". In order to obtain indiscriminate justice and abolish most freedoms, we must build an incomparably powerful state machine and put all people's activities under the control of the state. The so-called extreme right, if we push the correct thinking to the extreme, break through the "bottom line of equality." The opposition that the state restricts the strong is interpreted as asking the strong to control the state to bully the weak, claiming that "the state exists for the strong" (Stolypin), practicing oligarchy, and canceling all protection and freedom for the weak.
Why is the ultra-left system pseudo-fair?
The purpose of extreme left is to obtain economic justice, but because everyone's ability and background are different, totalitarianism is necessary to suppress everyone's personality and seek justice. In this way, although everyone is basically equal in economy, totalitarianism will cause inequality in power. Powerful people, call the shots, do everything they can. A lowly person can't even save his life. Those who are eliminated in the power struggle are often in a miserable situation. These guys are very familiar, and we have lived under this system for a long time.
