In the 1980s, people began to hear about Great South America, but thought it belonged to the United States thousands of miles away, and gradually got used to it. Great South America is in Lincang, a Lahu township in Linxiang District, less than 60 kilometers away from the urban area. People who come to Lincang to play generally have to look around and experience the rich ethnic customs of the Lahu people.
South America is like a cultural enclosure in Linxiang, and you have to go there. It is quite like an American Indian house. Lahu means roast tiger meat. The Lahu people in the enclosure are short, alert and in a hurry, and naturally have a "hunter's mystery".
Lahu nationality bridge festival
In Lahu Township of South America, the Bridge Festival is divided into April Bridge Festival and June Bridge Festival, which means that the first Dragon Day in April and June every year is designated as Bridge Day, which is also a festival.
Legend has it that a long time ago, the Lahu people in South America lived freely, happily and smoothly. Later, with the deterioration of the natural environment and the change of the social environment, the life of the Lahu people gradually fell into a trough and there was a crisis of survival. In the days of natural and man-made disasters, the Lahu people are helpless, but no one can save all the people from the hot water. One dragon night in April, an old man in the stockade had a dream. In the dream, an old man told him that the stockade would be safe as long as everyone built more bridges and roads and did more good deeds. When the old man woke up, his dream was still clear, so he took people to build bridges and roads and do good deeds. Before he died, the old man told people to remember to build bridges and roads and do more good deeds. Since then, the Lahu nationality in South America has continued the custom of building bridges and developed into a national festival.
This bridge changes every year. It is a big river. A group of colorful Lahu people. Women and children in Lahu costumes on both sides of the river are holding hands, joking and singing. Dozens of towering trees have just been cut down by Lahu men with axes and dragged to the river with white rattan to build a new bridge. Old people lit wax sticks and sang scriptures. Moba offered pig hair and blood and asked the hoses not to let the river flood the fields and crops.
Lahuzu clothing
Lahu nationality has a textile history of more than 600 years. In the long history, they have completely preserved the costume features of ancient ancestors and created their own national costumes. Up to now, I still keep my own technology of weaving, dyeing and making clothes. Lahu people like black best, and their clothing patterns are rich and colorful.
There is an expert in sewing clothes in the ancient village of Lahu nationality-Namu, a folk artist recognized by the Yunnan provincial government. She doesn't speak Chinese very well, but her hospitality is real. As soon as we entered the room, she was busy cooking.
Many national costumes are mainly black, and only women who pull clothes can wear them to the point of coquettish and gorgeous. Bright red and green piping, shiny silver bubbles on the chest, and the most dazzling is the colored spike that drags to the heel like a waterfall. Look at people's eyes
The traditional dress of Lahu nationality has national characteristics. Lahu people love black. In their eyes, black symbolizes auspiciousness, beauty, modesty and generosity. Women's clothing is the most distinctive of Lahu costumes.
Someone asked, "Are those colorful spikes you carry with you for weaving and sewing?" Wrong, that means the Lahu people came to Yunnan from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and crossed the river all the way. It turns out that this colorful headdress is still a cultural symbol.
Let's make an appointment with three or five friends. When are we free? Let's visit this secluded ancient village, look at beautiful clothes and get to know the simple local customs.
