Content introduction:
The Master Lecture Series: Fifteen Lectures on the History of China (Second Edition) tells the tortuous course of China's historical development from Pangu's creation to the present in an easy-to-understand language, with emphasis on ancient history. The fifteen lectures include: the origin of civilization, the replacement of dynasties, the perspective of the prosperous times of Han, Tang and Qing dynasties, ancient transportation, foreign civilization, ethnic relations, the ancient system of selecting officials in politics and law, agricultural handicrafts and commerce, military thoughts and systems, social life, ideological evolution, literary history, science and technology, modern history and Republic history. The first edition of this book has been well received and welcomed since it was published in 2003, and now it has been printed in 14. After consulting with the editor-in-chief and the author, I asked them to revise the whole book, revised some outdated viewpoints and examples, and added new achievements in historical research, hoping to make it more convenient for readers to read.
