Historically, the capitals of Hangzhou were Wu Yueguo and the Southern Song Dynasty.

Wuyue:

In 907, Qian Liu established the wuyue regime, with Hangzhou as its capital. Wuyue was one of the ten countries in the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. Hou Liang, the later Tang Dynasty, the later Jin Dynasty, the later Han Dynasty, the later Zhou Dynasty and the Northern Song Dynasty were honored as official crescent moons and were knighted. In 978, wuyue perished, and in 907-978, wuyue made Hangzhou its capital, which lasted for 72 years.

Southern Song Dynasty:
