The ancient town, formerly known as Lower Liangzi. In the late Qing Dynasty, this area was a dense forest. In the early years of the Republic of China, several large settlements were formed, such as Upper Liangzi (now Zhao Long Township), Middle Liangzi (also known as Linzikou Xiaotun, now Linkou Town) and Lower Liangzi (now Gucheng Town), which were placed under the jurisdiction of Boli County on 19 17. Linkou Forestry Bureau was established in the town from 65438 to 0963. 1February, 984, the Xincheng commune was abolished and the ancient town was established.
