This paper briefly combs the history of China broadcasting, and holds that the development of China broadcasting has gone through the following four periods: budding period (1923- 19 1) and initial period (1962- 198 1). This paper holds that the main directions and contents of broadcasting research in China mainly include: the basic theory of broadcasting hosting art, the study of language communication and the study of broadcasting hosting style of radio and television. The article also lists China's major works on broadcasting.

First, the basic course of broadcasting research in China.

Speaking of the development of broadcasting, we might as well start with a passage written by the late broadcasting artist and former president of the Broadcasting Research Association of China Radio and Television Society for Zhang Song's article "It is urgent to study broadcasting theory". Xia Qing said: "Broadcasting is extremely practical ... However, practice cannot be without theory, and no matter how it is practiced, it needs theoretical generalization and correct guidance. Because the understanding of broadcasting was limited to the nature of work at first, and there was still a lack of understanding conditions for the nature of disciplines, there were some deviations, that is,' broadcasting is very important, but there is no independent theory'. From the experience of Soviet broadcasting, we realize the similarity between broadcasting and performance, so we can solve the practical problems of broadcasting with performance theory. Therefore, for a long time, the independent discipline consciousness that forms the broadcasting theory system in the broadcasting team is quite indifferent. " However, "it was not until the practice of broadcasting teaching put forward the problem of research theory that it started, left the stage of summing up experience and advanced to the stage of establishing system". 1 Xia Qing's words simply and accurately summarized the basic course of broadcasting research and development.
