In the first year of Jiaping (AD 249), Cao Shuang and others accompanied Cao Fang to visit Wei Mingdi Mausoleum in the south of Luoyang. Sima Yi took the opportunity to launch a coup in Luoyang and seize power in North Korea. [ 13]
In the third year of Jiaping (AD 25 1 year), Sima Yi died of illness, and his son Sima Shi continued to take power.
In the sixth year of Jiaping (AD 254), Sima Shi abolished Cao Fang and established Cao Maodi. The following year, Master Sima died and his younger brother Si Mazhao came to power.
In the fifth year of Ganlu (AD 260), Cao Mao was unwilling to be a puppet and led hundreds of servants to attack Si Mazhao and was killed. Sima Zhao established Cao Huan as emperor, and the regime was completely controlled by Sima Shi. [ 12]
In the fourth year of Jingyuan (AD 263), Si Mazhao launched a war of annihilation, and sent Zhong Hui, Wargo and Zhuge Xu to attack Hanzhong in the east, middle and west. Shu Han, headed by Jiang Wei, formed a resistance army. According to the natural barrier of Jiange, it was at odds with Wei Jun, so Wargo led a good soldier to sneak into Yin Ping, capture Fucheng and advance on Chengdu. Liu Chan, the late ruler of Shu Han, surrendered without a fight. When Jiang Wei heard the news, he led his troops to surrender to Zhong Hui. After that, the mutiny failed, he committed suicide and Shu Han perished. [ 14]
In the second year of Emperor Xianxi (265), Cao Huanchan, the emperor of Cao Wei, was located in the early Yuan Dynasty and became Emperor Wu of Jin Dynasty. Cao Wei perished and the Western Jin Dynasty began. [ 15]
The Jin Dynasty itself inherited the separatist regime from the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty to Cao Wei, and the influence of local clans far exceeded that of the emperor. For example, Sima Jia was a powerful minister who controlled the court of Cao Wei and finally usurped the independence of Wei State. Therefore, after the successful usurpation of Wei, in order to prevent other imperial families and powerful ministers from following suit, all members of the imperial family were enfeoffed as kings as a local force to safeguard the royal family. At the same time, a "land possession order" was promulgated to limit the area and quantity of land owned by clans.
