Before Qin destroyed Chu, Xiang Yu's father and grandfather were nobles of Chu, so it was impossible to rescue Ying Zheng, the king of Qin, like Xiang Shaolong in Qin Shu. Later, he helped Ying Zheng succeed to the throne and taught Ying Zheng fencing. Of course, it is impossible for Xiang Yu's father to know a lot of modern scientific and technological knowledge and know the future historical process like Xiang Shaolong. So Xiang Shaolong's deeds are quite different from Xiang Yu's father's life experience. In history, Xiang Yu's father's sense of existence is very low, so there is a story about finding Qin, saying that he crossed Qin and became Xiang Yu's biological father. So Xiang Yu's father can't be said to be the prototype of Xiang Shaolong.
When the Qin Dynasty destroyed Chu, Xiang Yu's grandfather, Xiang Yan, was the commander-in-chief of the Chu army against Tian Lei, a famous soldier of Qin. Later, the Chu army was defeated, and Xiang Yan committed suicide. After Qin ruled the country 19 years, Xiang Yu rose up against Qin, so according to his age, Xiang Yu's father should not have died in Qin's war against Chu. After the defeat of Chu, Xiang's family fled to Huiji and then lived in seclusion. Later, Xiang Yu started fighting. His uncle Xiang Liang was an active supporter and was once the leader of Xiang Yu's rebel army. Since then, Xiang Yu's father has never been mentioned, so it is very likely that Xiang Yu's father died before Xiang Yu went to war.
