On September 1985 and 1, the Armed Police Surface Boat School officially opened, and was temporarily managed by the Zhejiang Armed Police Corps with the authority of deputy division level.

1993 1 In September, the Armed Police Surface Boat School was placed under the Ministry of Public Security, merged into the Public Security Frontier Force and renamed as the Public Security Frontier Boat School.

1999, the public security frontier surface boat school was upgraded to the public security marine police college.

20 10 On June 26th, the Police Marine Police College was upgraded to the Police Marine Police College.

20 12 On August 20th, the Ministry of Public Security, the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and the Ningbo Municipal People's Government signed an agreement in Hangzhou to establish the Public Security Marine Police College.
