Is Linyi Tortoise and Camel City true?
Linyi Tortoise and Camel City is a kind of urban construction layout, which does not really exist.

In the book "History of China City" collected by Li Fengjun, in the section "Building Ancient Cities according to Local Conditions", the "turtle-shaped cities" in Qixian and Suixian counties are cited as examples. The Ming Dynasty "Yizhou City Wall Map" and "Linyi County Map of the Republic of China" that the reporter saw found that Linyi City was slightly oval, especially in the Ming Dynasty, with four prominent gates, which were really turtle-shaped.

Turtles may have more political implications: "If you take turtles for a long time, the mountains and rivers will be solid forever." Phoenix Legend has more "historical passwords". According to the information provided by Li Fengjun, Linyi is the activity area of Shao Hao, an ancient Dongyi people. Shao Hao worships Phoenix and uses the names of birds to address various official positions.

On two pieces of granite in a valley in Tongjing Town, yinan county, each piece is engraved with a phoenix and the word "Phoenix". This is the Phoenix stone carving of Yuanfeng in the Western Han Dynasty more than 2,000 years ago, and it is the earliest stone carving relief with exact date in China.

Jiang Ziya was saved by an old tortoise in Linyi when he was deified. Jiang Ziya asked the old turtle to become immortal together, but the old turtle refused because it was difficult to leave his hometown. Jiang Ziya called Linyi "the turtle is in the city". The old turtle nodded and followed the Yi River into the underground of Linyi, hence the saying of turtle camel city.

The story of the Phoenix is evidenced by the place name "Phoenix Ridge": During the Spring and Autumn Period, this place was under the jurisdiction of Zhu Qiu City, and there were often phoenixes inhabiting a ridge in the west of the city. This ridge is called Phoenix Ridge, and Zhuqiu is also called Phoenix City.

The story of the phoenix is also mixed with the legend that the phoenix "divine fire" warms this place and the phoenix repays the kindness. Perhaps it is because there are so many stories that the "turtle camel phoenix" is now "guarded by the turtle back and the phoenix face".
